I got tickets to the Maury Show live taping @ Stamford, CT for Sep 20. I went to the Steve Wilkos Show live taping and had to leave at noon. For those in the UK, Maury is known for his "You are (not) the father" catchphrase.

What will happen at the Maury show live taping on Sep 20? 18.1.3 Corruption to 41 Decreasing.
Line 1 says, "Ancestral father's corruption. There is a child, The deceased elders are without fault. Danger. In the end, good fortune." Will there be shocking reactions from paternity tests?
Line 3 says, "Ancestral father's corruption. There is small regret, No great mistake." Will the live taping be fun?
I think it is telling me that in the taping, I can expect shocking results from the guests' paternity tests and that it is what it is.

The first line of any hexagram often describes the situation as it is before we get into the heart of it. So 18.1 says that before there even needs to be Work On What Has Been Spoiled it is possible potential problems can be so gracefully handled that there never is an actual problem. It's as if a father were to go off and leave a mess in the kitchen but the son cleaned it up before the mother got home so there never really was a problem after all..

18.3 describes a situation where someone has broken a rule and the authorities are being so hard nosed about placing blame that one wonders if they aren't being abusive but the fact is the person did break the rules so the punishment is justified and may indeed be necessary.

Rosada, are you saying that this is what the third line is always about in all the hexagrams, or in this particular one?

I ask because I'm not familiar with this particular way of looking at the third line, which might be more about my ignorance or unfamiliarity about the lines in general.

My notes from a recent workshop say about about the third line:

'It's about making decisions and choices; sometimes they are not easy or simple - because they have consequences. It may even feel like a crisis. Do I continue, or do I choose a new direction? Here you might be weighing past choices (if you are trigram mountain) or new ones (if you were trigram thunder). Business example: here you might begin to worry, is this the right time to move on this? Do I have all the resources I need to make a go of it?

Best, D.

Went to the live taping on Friday. I was able to watch two shows; the first one is about DNA tests and the second one is about lie detector tests. From what I know the show shares the same stage as The Steve Wilkos Show.
