Meeting with a friend on a specific date

I am looking forward to meeting a friend and I asked the outcome of the meeting and I got

22.6 to 36

I have got background 36 quite alot in regards to questions related to this friend

Can you please help me interpret what this reading means please? As I have no idea

When you get one line you just focus on the line and not the resulting hexagram in general, when it's more than two lines changing then yes, focus on the resulting hexagram. So hex 36 might just be a coincidence. 22.6 probably means that it's a casual meeting, maybe just catching up. Good luck.

While sometimes the answer jumps out at us from just reading the one line, my experience has been that there is often quite a bit to be gained from taking the second hexagram into consideration. In this case I would have interpreted 22.6 - 36 as meaning that in your meeting you would avoid getting into deep heavy discussions - you could be relaxed and keep the intensity toned down - 36. Brightness Hidden. Also, as you say you have frequently gotten 36 in readings about this friend, I would wonder if the IC is pointing out there is something about this friendship that requires you to not shine too "bright" - perhaps you sense you two could easily start to feel competitive with each other if you didn't keep thing toned down a bit?
Or maybe your meetings are a nice escape from your otherwise hectic life, that is, the meeting itself provided a time out where you didn't have to be to shine?

Well, maybe in this case the line alone did say it all but as I say, I do think there is value to be got from considering the second hexagram.

I agree I do feel sense of competitiveness and the need to hide my light. And also yes meetings are light relief from a hectic life. Thank you for your insights x
