Getokack:

Please don't call me "Getokack." That sounds like something a cat says when it's coughing up a hairball... :D

Don' t get upset, please. I wasn't very polite with you, it wasn't my intention.

No need to apologize... I don't get upset easily. In fact, I rather like our spirited conversations.

About the nature of water, may you see...

1) Say you have a continent like a min

2) You pour grain in it until it is full, but not yet overflow, you have in it more grain than the capacity of the container, but the grain yet not pours: thus ying.
夃 ying is not to overflow, but to become full.

http://www.chineseetymology.org/Cha...aspx?characterInput=盈&submitButton1=Etymology

3) Now, try to do it with wine or water! It pours.

I think that's not only due to the nature of the recipient, but also due to the nature of the content.

I'm not sure I understand. I can pour uncooked rice out of a bag just as easily as pouring water or wine out of a pitcher. And after the container is full of rice, water or wine, if I try to pour some more, it will overflow. So overflowing isn't due to the nature of the contents, but either: (1) the nature of the container (too small) or (2) the overzealousness of the one pouring the water, rice, wine, beer, or whatever. Am I missing something?

I go to search in my LaoZi.

Btw, I (mis)quoted Laozi from memory. I'm pretty sure he didn't use the words "pathless path" to describe the Dao. That phrase is probably more accurately attributed to Chan (Zen) Buddhism than it is to Laozi and Daoism. The bit about
"All manner of things fulfil the dao without trying" was my interpretation of the main meaning of Chapter 51 of the Dao De Jing.
