Misunderstanding with a Good Friend

A good friend and I got into a fight recently, something about feeling betrayed by her (Long story).
Missed our friendship a little bit. So i asked 'What is the best thing for me to do now concerning Y' and i got

46.1.3.6 changing into 41

I dont really understand how 'pushing upwards' leading into 'reduction' has to do with my question.

it doesn't 'lead to' reduction. The relating hexagram, here 41, is where you are coming from, what the question is about, what your position is in regard to the question...naturally this contain elements of future development....but the relating hexagram does not = 'the future' as so any poor people have been led to believe


so 41 describes where you are... a lessening...or perhaps even a readiness to make a sacrifice, reduce passions around the whole thing....perhaps really not very much is needed to reconcile with her.....

Lines 1 and 6 move so perhaps this is just an episode that can be quickly moved on from....but 46.3 shows whilst there are no obstacles theres nothing to be gained here either. In 46.6 one can't see the way ahead but carries on anyway.

I can't see really that this advises you one way or the other...its your choice and I don't think it will be very difficult to reunite with her...its just you may want to consider more deeply where its going and what its for, the friendship that is....

if however you are free of doubts and wish to reconcile it doesn't look difficult As a sentence the answer may be seen as one pushes on up (hex 46) via a decrease in intensity of feelings (hex 41)


It could however be a case of winning her back so to speak and then wondering why you bothered (46.3)

Make a peace offering, preferably a gift of food, to reduce the tension.

Line 1. Bradford's commentary suggests you attempt will be welcomed.
Line 3. The heart of Y is empty, so you will not get much resistance. Nevertheless,
Line 6 suggests you will need to make more than one effort to achieve reconciliation.

Funny enough i'v always thought that the resulting Hexagram = Future.
Guess i still have a lot to learn about interpreting the I-ching.

Just for the sake of 'unwanted tensions', i'l try and make a peace offering. Even if i regret it afterwards, at least i tried.
