I hope you can help me with this, please.

I badly need money to repair some things in my appartement. It is a bigger amount and I don't have it all. I need to ask my father for help.
I have a big problem with that, I don't want to exploit him, but I don't know what else to do.

So, I asked Yi Jing: is it appropriate to ask my father to help me?

I got: 15.2.5.6 ->57

I think the line 5 is very clear: go ahead and take care of your needs.

But line 2 and 6 are not clear to me. They talk about inner state of being modest. How does this apply to my situation? I mean...I do need to ask for this quite large amount.

Can anyone say something about this?

I am not sure...so many changing lines?? How do you read that? I admit, I cannot see through this mess of those lines
Well, hex 40 is a good sign but with all those lines I couldn't grasp the message.

So, I asked: how should I proceed with my fahter and money?
I got: 50.2.4->52

Hm...it doesn't look good, does it? Line 2 is saying that I should stay intact by all this?
And line 4 is really not good...that I cannot do this and misfortune follows.

Since this was the advice, I asked Yi Jing about the result again: Will my father help me financially?
I got: 35.3->56
Line 3 is about differencies reslolved, so I can take this as Yes?

when there are lots of changing lines

Actually, with 40 changing to 6, the changing lines are 40.5 and 40.6.
With changing lines 2,3,4 and 6, it would change to hexagram 52.

In general, when you have a lot of changing lines (more than 3 or so), it's usually better to ignore the lines, and just look at the hexagrams (the judgments, also called hexagram texts). There are also methods of selecting a single line from a consultation, even if there are several.

I think that your first reading (15->57) is telling you to be humble. You are not in a position to make demands.

Your question on how to proceed may have gotten a result that seems negative, but I think this is merely telling you what to look out for. In short: don't mess up.

35.3->56 says that all are in accord, which makes progress possible. Seems a Yes.
