Hi to all on this cold. cold day and it's not even winter yet!!

Long story short due to my not so great living circumstances I've been staying with a male friend who was my first online date ever 5 years ago. We lost contact for a long time until about 6 months or more ago and I've been staying at his house for about a month. There is chemistry between us but both of us appear to be disinterested in anything more than friendship and we've both just started dating others.

We both feel it wouldn't work as a relationship as we are different in important ways that would not nourish a healthy relationship. I've felt he just perceives to know me but doesn't really and he said just yesterday that having me around has had a really positive effect on his life and he will miss me very much when I move on. I am moving into a new rental for myself on Friday. For me personally I could imagine that I could be hurt quite easily if I were to engage in a relationship with him.

What do I need to know about my relationship with W Hex 36.3.5>3

Hex 36 - oh yes he injured me big time 5 years ago

Line 3 - yep it was a little slow getting back into a friendship
Line 5 - Pretending I'm not interested in anything more is a good thing to do to avoid being hurt

Hex 3 - work on solving difficulties

Thanks Liss

I guess the thing is to remember, to keep it in the front of your mind, that this guy is capable of hurting you again. All best wishes on moving to a better situation ... away from him.

Oh that bad....thanks Ginnie, for putting into clear perspective for me.

What is the benefit of continuing to build a relationship with H (H being the guy I've started dating)

Hex 61>31

Yes there is a sort of attraction, though not a lot of chemistry, Hex 31 and Hex 61, confidence and trust in both him, myself and where I'm being led. - Liss

Liss, i looked at the first casting and my impression is like Ginnie's; some people make good friends but can't get along as romantic partners... Is he controlling and possessive as a partner? I felt something like that and i really think it's better for you that you remain just friends.

As per H, if i got it right, 27 would be the nuclear hexagram of 61, and - given that there are numerous moving lines, i tend to look more into the relating hexagram (Nanjing rules which i sometimes apply ;))... I agree with your take on it, indeed seems to be the way to go (to be lead that is ;)) The older and more mature i am, the more i am a fan of such calm and steady relationships, which over time tend to become a deep and tender bond between the two people :bows:

Well things with H came to an abrupt end, which is fine with me.

Yi seems to be saying that a love life would be a distraction for you (22.3), so I guess there must be something else much more pressing on your plate right now.
