Morning reading 21 UC

It's a mellow Sunday morning, the sun is rising and it looks like it will be a nice day. Had a good night's sleep, am enjoying my coffee, read a few overnight emails from friends, and am feeling quite content and looking forward to a day of R & R for me.

I hadn't had a chat with the Yi for a short while, and logged on asking a typical morning question: "what should I know about today"?

Yi replied 21 unchanging. Well, that rattled me somewhat, as biting through anything was just not on my radar for the day! I was kind of expecting Yi to come back with flow (11), enjoyment and music (16), something along those lines.

To me, 21 is usually some sort of deception or lack of clarity about something I need to bite through hard to get to the truth or make a decision about. It calls for decisive action, which can be unpleasant but necessary and ultimately useful. The nuclear hex is 39, a warning that there are obstructions and that in a position of weakness only small progress can be made.

I can't imagine, in these early morning hours, that anything is going to come disturb my plans for a bubble bath (the hot water heater works), reading by the fire (the wood supply is at hand), nice walk in the countryside (beautiful crisp day), and enjoying the food I cooked yesterday (including a cake!). My work is done, chores and errands taken care of, a clean slate all the way around that allows me to indulge today without any "woulda-shoulda-coulda-gotta" niggling in the back of my head!

Often, folks here advise to take the Yi rather literally. If I do so, the only thing I can think of is that Yi is just warning me against overindulging in all the food I cooked (yeah, ok, a slight risk, though I don't tend to do that anyway). I can't imagine another angle in the answer given the nature and context of the question and the very mellowness of my mood. Can the Yi sometimes be completely off the mark in its responses?

It will be interesting to see how the day plays out, and whether the Yi sensed something completely unexpected

Hi,

21- biting through, is there some issue you have been putting off or procrastinating doing?

Perhaps you need to enforce the rules in your house for smoother progress?

Or if you decide to go out beware of the laws.

Or maybe you do need to be careful with what you bite into. Make sure there's no eggshells in that cake? No bullets in that deer meat? Ect

Or it could even be saying since its unchanging *You've bitten through all you need to and now can enjoy smooth progress for the day.*

Hmmm, let us know how your day goes and if you figure it out.

Hi blue angel,

If per chance you've glanced at some of my other threads, yes, I do have some humdinger issues to deal with and which I do "talk" about with Yi. But I've also found when I ask Yi questions that have nothing to do with those worries, it doesn't bring me back to them, it brings attention to the question I did pose. Thus my morning's surprise with the 21 UC when in taking a nice day just for me I was in fact implementing some of its recent advice

The day was lovely, mellow and went without a glitch, annoyance or anything tense or negative. Had my bubble bath et al (a treat!), went on a great walk with dog along the river, took some wonderful light play shots, read a spell and dosed off in a nap, had a nice dinner and the cake was darn good! And now I'm off to bed!

So unless it is a nearly constant backdrop, or Yi contradicted itself after telling me to enjoy and chill by trying to get my mind back on to the yucky heavy stuff, I can't figure this morning's 21 uc!

Maybe Yi was just cranky

No I'm sorry I don't recall your previous posts, I'll go back and take a look. A lot of times Iching will answer a deeper issue that is going on within us and not the question asked. However, like I said, you asked "what can I expect for today" Iching's answer could be saying "you bit through all you can for now, the day will be one of smooth progress. I'll go back and check out your other threads when I have a chance. You had a good day. That's great.
