Moving past an old boyfriend

Hello-

I am getting over a relationship and want to smoothly go into something new
My past is long periods of being alone- and after this past relationship I am open to more and would like to be ready for it as soon as possible- I asked
how to move into something new as easily and wonderfully as possible- and received
21-30
Taking hold (21)- moving into 30 seems to speak to my past- but how does it move into 30? My immediate thought was that I needed to deal with getting back together with my old boyfriend ( I dont really think I want to or should--) Am I misenterpreting this? Thank you

I think the suggestion for you is in the trigrams. 21 has thunder (wood) inside, fire outside, and I think it reinforces how you feel now - that you want to DO something to create your next relationship opportunity, especially because thunder indicates activity or movement.

But as this changes into 30, fire inside and out, it displays the inner and outer mirroring each other. I think it means that you don't need to do anything other than reflect deeply on exactly what kind of relationship you want next time - to attract a relationship that more appropriately matches who you are and what makes you happy. This doesn't take very long, but is a very powerful step in making progress in your life. We often take action too quickly without first truly asking ourselves what we really want. 30 is a reminder of the potential for great clarity in this situation, which helps when you are thinking of a new relationship!

I don't think it means going back to your past relationship.

There's a bit of opportunism in 30. Just remember to stay grounded and not go flying off into the air, cuz the flame would then quickly go out.

So there's a sense of mobility here, but also a past or an action that leaves a bit of bad taste in your mouth and/or stomach. Still, this "taking hold", as you've called it, is a positive thing. I kind of like that - taking hold for 21.

It says that you are still dealing with the old problem of your ex BF, it is clouding your judgement, be assured that your old BF is gone and the relationship is finished. So accept your new BF as a part of your life and then all should go well.
