Feeding on past virtues.
Persistence is dangerous,
eventually good fortune.
Somebody attending to the king's affairs,
is without achievement.
As one currently cannot take credit for what one does, one bases one's self-esteem on previous accomplishments. This doesn't always work. Eventually things will go well, though.
- I am assuming this means that I will look back on my past accomplishment in order to make myself feel good about what I'm doing (even if I'm not currently working.) I'm nw to the Iching and I'm not sure I need to look into any more than that. Any suggestions on dealing hexagrams that do not seem to have a positive outcome?
