My doubts about him and our future. 44.2,3--12 and Hex 3 unchanging

Hi, It's great to find such a nice place to ask for advice on the guidance of the I ching! Thank you very much for considering my reading.

For some time now I have been concerned about my relationship with B. We have been together without much complication for a full year now, but he hasn't asked me to marry him and he doesn't want children yet. That normally would be just fine with me, except I'm 39 years old now.
(oops, I forgot to have children!)

I have had several serious relationships but the subject of marriage and children have always seemed taboo. Especially in the previous 3 years before I met B, I remember being frustrated in dating. It seems to be getting increasingly difficult to find a good man as I get older. So if the I ching is telling me I should give up on him and leave if I want marriage and children, I have to question if this is even worth it to me.

I confronted him recently about our future, he says he wants children someday, but not right now. I think it made him feel uncomfortable when I raised the issue that I may not be able to have children if I wait until he's ready later. My emotions got the better of me and we had a quarrel. I just don't know how to handle this. I asked the I ching about B and where this is going...

Any ideas?

(I took this to mean I should shut up about it now and let it blow over.)

And I asked if i do just let it go, if he will come around to wanting a future with me soon...

ps One reason I am confused about this is that the readings of 44.2,3--12 and hex 3 seems very different to me. Its as if to say there is no hope, but still there is hope.
Could the hex 3 reading just be a reflection of some kind and not an answer. It is the answer to a yes/no question. I guess that's not always appropriate.

Well, still no takers on my thread.

I just wanted to add that I tried again to talk with B on this subject. Still confusing and vague in his responses, but he did say he wants to wait another year. I don't think that was a promise.

I asked again for an overall summation of B and I's relationship and where it is going. I got Hex 3 Again!

It seems hex 3 doesn't promise anything. It's funny, in some of the threads it is linked to pregnancy. But it is also sort of vague and uncertain. Not clear. But is there anything more I should consider? some wisdom within this hexagram?
