My experience with 39,2,5/46 (48.5)

Well, Before 2 weeks I made a question: What is going to happen between me and my ex next week?
39,2,5/46 (48.5)
The week is over. I was expecting something really good. It seems to me that our obstructions would be overcome 46 but nothing changed, nothing happened. I am thinking that sometimes I Ching doesn't accept time so it answers in general or that my interpretation was wrong.

Any ideas please?

It's about 4 years. I had a good teacher I still study hard..
Anyway I see hexagram 46 as someone withdraws of the obstructions and just pushing upward..

You can lose touch with the truth of the situation that way.

Then your question carried the assumption that something was going to happen but what if nothing was going to happen, how might Yi answer you ? Well possibly with encouraging advise and clear reflection of your situation as it is.

So you struggle in your situation (39) and meet many problems or sorrows yet this is through no fault of yours (39.2) and you then meet with support at this difficult time (39.5). You are gradually making your way through this (46) but it is quite hard and lonely (39).

Generally anyone who has been consulting for a long time time, especially on relationships, comes to see the I Ching is not just churning out hard and fast predictions about what others will or will not do. It's speaking to you about your whole situation.

There are many meanings for 46 here. You say 'problems will be over come'....well yes this is step by step progress but who's progress is it ? Not sure where you get 48.5 from.

It's terribly easy to cast a few auspicious readings and think that regardless of what the other person has said and done all will 'come right' but it doesn't always work that way. Relationships can be a ground for inner growth and often that is what Yi addresses. Also going back to my first point you asked the question with the assumption that something would happen. I think your answer may have been consoling you that it wouldn't perhaps ?

I have a different opinion but I respect yours.
