My friends Birthday Present....

Hello everyone!
Its my best buds birthday coming up on friday. I got him a Wii Game because he loves playing on the wii with his friends. I asked the Yi if it was the right gift, I'm worrying he's already got it or if I should have got him something more unique or unusual. I'm seeing him tommorow so I might keep it in my bag and have a look at his games to make sure he hasn't got it before I give it to him Or I could just give it to him and tell if its no good or he's got it I can exchange it, so its not a big dilemma, just me being a worry wort. :bows: He's not expecting anything from me tommorow so its sort of a suprise.

Should I give him this present?

Pushing upward into excess. Hmm does this mean its too excessive, it was an expensive game but not in the context as we've been friends a long time and I've bought him more expensive and unusual ones. Or perhaps it means he will be overwhelmed.

Line 4- the king offers him mount ch'i (or could that be Mount Wii ) good fortune, no blame. I'm taking this as its a good gift? I'd be chuffed to bits if someone gave me it.

Line 5- Pushing upward by steps. Not sure about this line. I left a small note inside the box thanking him for being my best friend and for all the good times we've had. We play on the wii togther when I go over.

Will he enjoy the gift?
54.5---58

This line I'm stumped over. The relating hex is 58 which I've experienced as joy before and as an exhange.

Any thoughts would be very helpful! I'll give an update later

PREPONDERANCE of the great...

Hmm having a look at my own lines (instead of doing college work which needs to be done by thursday ) That preponderence word I looked it up- googled it and I was thinking perhaps this just means it will mean a lot to him. A momentous time- its his Birthday! I read lise version of 28 and it was very uplifting.

Still don't know about the 54.5 though....

Anyway FORCING MYSELF to do some work!!

I don't know why but I'm finding these posts very amusing ..i mean I'm not laughing at you...but i am actually chortling here, i have the image of you surreptitiously looking at his games and possessions to see if hes got the game...and him getting the wrong idea that you are snooping...why a kind of Woody Allen sketch comes to mind i can't say but anyway..... you know you did your best, I think you should give him the gift, then watch his face either rise or fall and then tell him you have the receipt if he needs to change it and you totally understand if he wants to change it..so he has to enjoy your gift one way or another doesn't he ?

Hmm if i had to say anything about the readings I'd say you don't need to go OTT here to please him (54.5)

Hahaha thanks trojan, he's more like a big brother than a best friend, the games are in his living room lol he's use to me being nosy! In his kitchen, in his sock drawer, under his bed- you know playing with things around his house I shouldn't- oh yes I am quite an anoying best friend He is usually pleased with whatever I give him- so your right there I think with the 54.5. SUCCESS & miracles!

Woohoo! Update!! I wasn't happy about that present the wii game it just didn't "feel" right so I asked the angels lastnight ( I'm an angel spiritually type healery reiki person) I said "angels this isn't right please help me find the perfect gift!" I went to bed lastnight and didn't think anything more of it. When when I woke up I had an irresistable urge to go the the shopping center near me. I thought oh why would I need to go there? half asleep. So I did what my intuition guided me to do! I went to the shopping center and in the window was a small pewter dragon on a motor bike! AHAAA! I got one of those instead of the game! He LOVES! dragons and faeries and stuff! This one was a unique one off collectors edition! Released this year!

I got home I asked the I-ching- what about this present is it the right one?
58 unchanging! JOY! yes

Will he like this gift?
14.6- Tehee! He is Blessed by heaven!

I gave him his gift and he was over the moon! Grinning from ear to ear! I thought he was going to cry

Whew nice rescue from the angels and the I-ching! I also asked him what he'd been playing on the wii! and he already had the game!!!!!!

Anyway a nice ending!

Actually one year i decided to do some 'image stuff' before buying gifts, i asked for images of what gift would bring that person joy. i got very clear images, went and got them and everybody loved them so. They weren't things I normally would have thought of.


And the urge to go to a particular shop for no reason is an intuition it always pays to follow,,,its how i got my current flat..or often i will find something i was looking for at just the right price. last time it happened i had the urge to go in this grotty junk shop and i was standing there thinking 'why am i in here'..turned around and there was a heater i'd been searching for at just the right price..amongst all the junk.

Wonder how the 46.4.5 applies now ? Well 46.5 reaching your goal in stages..you did that !

A dragon on a motorbike ! Inspired shopping indeed, a certain 14.6 moment !

That 54.5 didn't feel right either for the gift I really wanted to get him, it didn't match with the result I wanted in my heart, I wanted it to be a hex 14 present! so the yi was mirroring how I really felt about the Wii game!

Also if I'd have given him the game he already had, it would have put pressure on me (28) and I'd have felt awfull and it would have been a hassle exchanging it quickly before his birthday!

I think you're on to something there ! I never thought of it before but of course, in this context 54 could well be saying its not quite 'the right present', as an object it would be of secondary value...and yes 14 would be the gift you wanted to give...and of course 54.5 could well signify the exchange of the present..I'd never have thought of that but now you say it it seems really right somehow..
