I asked this question out of curiosity in a somewhat funny way as I have no intention to leave my job now, even if can't see myself doing it for a decade.
22- "Beauty"- can be one of the easiest hexagrams to indicate some type of profession; however I have no experience in the fields supposed to be clearly referred by 22, such as make-up & fashion, nor am trained/interested in them.
I also now that 22 can be something superficial- no good for a job:D
What do you think? What occupation may 22 indicate other than the obvious ones?

Something you love and what represents your values? Something you dream about? Anyway, have you found a new job already?

Hi mary, that's a fun question! I'm picturing a job where one can figure out what things will be a perfect fit for someone in order to create a beautiful situation, like a salesperson or real estate agent, or career counselor!

i'm quoting the last line from Wilhelm, because i've been on a personal journey with this hex for quite a while, and believe the fire below that reaches the mountaintop is to eventually illuminate this one particular line (that i take as the essence of the hex) - at least this is where i found the answer to my question (finally, after more than half a year of pondering) when 22 uc was the result.

Nine at the top means:
Simple grace. No blame.

Here at the highest stage of development all ornament is discarded. Form no longer conceals content but brings out its value to the full. Perfect grace consists not in exterior ornamentation of the substance, but in the simple fitness of its form.

it would also makes sense (to me at least), that behind the facade that everybody sees of adornment or beautifying, for it to have any lasting effect, the ornamentation has to serve an actual purpose...

as a side note, without the idea of golden hour and photography i probably would have never gained this understanding, so maybe that's also something to consider? ;)

but already knowing you have quite an ability with words / writing / translation and content being mentioned by Wilhelm himself, i'd think something in the direction of literary arts? a copywriter? or simply (ha-ha) a writer? or something with the web? a UX designer (still, balancing form and content) or maybe managing social media / branding / marketing / PR... ?

this however, is my personal and probably unpopular take on 22 - i was planning to post my experience in 22uc thread but it always becomes too convoluted, so i'm thinking there's more thinking about it for me to be done still... yet, i thought i'd share the gist here, hope you don't mind and maybe it helps...

How then mandarin? I mean, can you explain how the hexagram indicates it?

Oh Legume I work for a website, mostly as a social media manager at this moment, but have done other things you mentioned: translation, content production, PR to some extent ... interesting!

Putting your answer beside other comments made me think of book/media editing. My next guess is PR in a publishing house or some cultural institute.
