I recently came to a decision to let go a potential life and career change. I was greatly helped by many on this forum with interpretations of readings I received on this subject. When finally letting go of something, especially a long held belief or desire, a void can present itself, a time and feeling of be lost and unsure what is next.

I cast the coins with the question, "what is next for me?"

I received hexagram 36 with changing line 2 then changing to hexagram 11.

Reading various descriptions of hex 36 it makes sense to me - I've let go of something that was critical perhaps to who I am, now injured, because that thing, that desire I so wanted which was so much part of me is now discarded.

Am I interpreting this correctly? and what of line 2 changing in 36?

also, 11 as the transformed hex, I interpret as eventual peace in this matter

this reading does give me a look into "what is next for me"

any other interpretations from kind souls is greatly appreciated and thanks in advance to all that respond

Hi,

To paraphrase Bradford's commentary:
Plan A is out the window,
But Plan B is even better. (The aid of the fine horse)
Time to embrace the plan B.
Do you know what that might be refering to?

Perhaps plan B could entail a more gradual advance to the PhD program?
(Plan A I think perhaps having been a rush to try to get things together for a fall start?) Or is it still possible to be "rescue with the strength of a horse" your long held desire this year?)

I guess what I am wondering if "your long held desire" was the "light" that was wounded by doubt or if in fact it was necessary to let go of an errant desire to have something more in line with "destiny" open up? Was the PhD barking up the wrong tree --- and if so ---- where is the "right" tree and how will you recognize it?

I notice on August 19th, 2013 you had an opportunity for: "something that i'm trained for, people tell me i'm a natural for, yet i have a lot of fear" What was/is that?

plan b might be furthering my yogic training - I'm a yoga teacher and could potentially learn more, increase my skills into areas of chronic pain and long-term illness - which is what I was going to do the Phd for - gaining mastery in the subject of yoga and meditaion as a complimentary treatment option for the groups I mentioned

the thing I trained for - which I just mentioned in another reply - was my RYT-200 yoga teacher training - I've finished it and have the credentials - yet - since it's so new for me - I, as usual am doubting my abilities

I wonder what kind of question I should ask about that?

any ideas?

Is it a question of further training or of partnering with someone who already serves the specific populations you want to serve? Or of marketing to the specific populations you want to serve? Or of choosing the best place to set up such a practice?

Try brainstorming questions. You may be able to answer them yourself without asking Yi.

Hexagram 36 is about being overlooked or oppressed - your brightness dimmed. The strong horse could be a plan B or it could be newfound energy within yourself. Only you can do it-- though you may find aid from a strong horse in your environment, too, -- go find it. It will not come without exertion and strength, since the times are difficult. In times of being humiliated or overlooked, your own strength (even when injured) is still at your command. Then the way will be open to 11 which is a more peaceful and prosperous time. It seems that the reading speaks of inner resolution.
