Hi Calumet-

Without any experience using them I can't evaluate, but a quick Google on the topic brings up a slew of them...

Hi Calumet-
I'm sending a tall stack of Tarot links to your listed Email address. Certainly someone on the forums can answer your question, if not one of the links themselves.
I hope some are helpful. It's a bit out of date as I set aside Tarot until my Book of Changes stopped changing.
Anyone else can have these links for the asking.

The site with what I consider the absolutely best online tarot readings, is here: http://www.tarotadvice.com/home.asp
It has a number of very useful features but you will have to sign up as a member to have access to them. You'll find it's worth the trouble of doing so.

I know less than zilch about tarot, but signed up at tarot.com (as much to see how the big boys run things as anything else!) and have tried some of their readings. The general set-up is tremendously professional and well-designed, but somehow the readings, with the detailed interpretations they give for the cards, didn't seem to apply to my questions very reliably. Don't know why. Maybe if I had understanding of my own, rather than depending on their interpretations, it would be different.

Thank you, Dharma, I will have a look at tarotadvice.com .

I find tarot to be a bit like I Ching - it all depends on how you interpret the card and their relationship. And interpretations are many.

try this too:

Hmmm....

I'm curious when and why one would choose one approach vs another, tarot, astrology, Yi?

I am only learning Tarot.

I never understood Tarot till I got this new deck. Somehow, now, with it, the cards are jumping out at me...I literally feel 'something' is doing the communicating to me...not that I understand all the time, but I study the picture and let it sink in. I suppose I really connect with the imagery in this particular deck. I have done a few reading where the cards talk about the I Ching. They identified the Yi as "The Emporer" ! LOL!!! The site Dharma offered is tremendously good. Thank you Dharma.

The cards are different from the Yi. As I am more steeped in Asian philosophy, rather than the tradition of the Tarot, (which seems to me, I could be mistaken, more European), I may be at a loss for the deeper symbolism.

I love them, and use them sparingly. When I get 'the calling'. And then cards 'fall out' and they tell a story.

Just my experience thus far.

Calumet,

I'm a member of TABI - The Tarot Association of the British Isles.

I hope that Hilary doesn't mind my mentioning that TABI offers free readings at www.tabi.org.uk

If you post your question here, one of our readers will reply to you with a 3-card reading within 3 or 4 days.

The service is completely free and all our readers are mentored to the ethical standards laid down by TABI.

To become a TABI endorsed reader, you have to have completed 25 mentored readings in response to on-line questions.

Best wishes,

Mick
