Overcoming physical and mental health issues: 34 twice!

A happy new year to all of you! I was hoping some of you might be generous enough to offer some feedback on two readings I cast this morning, both involving Hexagram 34.

I've been going through a period of major anxiety and burnout, and have been having some health problems (digestion, notably, as well as crippling poor sleep patterns) that have helped create a feedback loop of anxiety and health anxiety, low mood and extreme fatigue. I really feel like I'm at my wit's end and can't continue as I have been: I need to make some healthy changes to get myself back on track, and recover physically, emotionally and spiritually from a difficult time. Ironically, I just got married and am extremely happy in my personal life, so feel guilty for having these difficulties. I asked the YI "What can I do to get myself out of this ditch, both physically and mentally"? and received the following.

1. 34 with changing lines at 5 and 6> 1
2. 34 with changing line a 5>43

I like that both suggest power, vigorous force and energy, but ironically, I am at such a low ebb and have so little energy, I'm finding it challenging just to get through a normal work day. The reading feels pretty enigmatic to me, but I do sense it may be about letting go a bit and accepting rather than thrashing around in struggle so much. If anyone has any insight into what the YI is counselling here, I'd so appreciate it.

Yes, this is exactly right. 43 in your second reading suggests that you've been expending too much energy in something and that it might be better for you if it was redirected elsewhere. It sounds like it could be something in your diet, maybe overeating, which can affect ones' mental acumen.

34.5.6 to 1 ~ Cease grasping and dwelling on objects in the stream of your thoughts ~ and return to peaceful Clarity in the present moment.

34.6 to 43 ~ Relax; take deep, slow breaths, and remember: You are not your Story ~ You are the Awareness of ‘your’ Story.

Is your Story depressing you?

So, my read is that by eliminating the confusion of object-consciousness, you can wake-up to the view from Heaven: supremely stable Peace ~ perfectly content with an ever-changing World.
