I hope they didn't trim the cheeks too much! These hairstylists can be such butchers sometimes!

And Mercury was in Gemini???? you figured it out yourself or you had somebody do your chart? And you are smart! And you are sensitive and a Cancer (go ahead, blush) Is cancer water?

Maybe there is something to this astrology thing!

You are right about these hairstylists. Criminals! But mine is a close friend. I can trust her.

Smart, sensitive?

Doing a chart is easy nowadays. Date + time + place + computer program + click + click -> chart!
But even without a computer it's not that difficult. There are tables, you can look up the places of planets and so on.

That's right! You are sensitive!
I hope you don't get mad at me in the other thread!

No problem, if I do get mad we hijack yet another thread and exchange jokes there, okay?

I know. Do you feel like they might tap you on the shoulder - anytime now - and ask you to leave the thread? Or they might knock on your door and present you with a pair of handcuffs! I intend to stretch my arms and say "I was waiting for you", in a very dignified, resigned way, like in the movies.

At least this thread was abandoned a long time ago, the original question having already faded in the distance... But it wasn't all our fault, you know.

Threadjacker! what a stigma!

I'm staying away from that other thread! If asked, I'll say I don't know you. I'm sure you'll understand.

What can I say, you are so... mercurial! Well, at least it doesn't take much to get you over your anger, you just have to wait a few seconds

But the rest of me is officially upset!

(you told me I sucked, in case you don't remember!)

Why does being upset feel so good sometimes?

One picture says more then 10000 words, one laugh means more than 10000 pictures.

Does this sound on topic and serious enough?

Oh well, here it goes:
lol.gif

I mean, there's at least 100000000 words there. Some of them are bound to be serious and/or meaningful!

As for being on topic... what is the topic? I know, let's ask Chris! He'll know what to say!

You not know me? Petrus, you have betrayed me!
Sob!

One thousand miles of moonlight later ..

Could you imagine .. a cow jumping over the moon?
Could you imagine .. the electrical film of humanity covering the earth, longing, longing, longing?
Could you imagine .. how beautiful you are?

No, no! You can't be upset while I'm still upset! You have to wait.

Where did you get that?

And I did not betray you, you have to say you don't know me also. Then they will have no case against us! My lawyer told me so. Technically, we're not lying. After all... not only don't we know each other in so many ways, but who knows if anybody really knows us. (maybe not on topic, but getting serious here)

The cow over the moon sounds familiar, but the rest? I like it.

It's funny but the last few posts sound like whispers in my head. Is this what they call paranoia?

I think Chris is still asleep, it's night in Australia.
Unfortunately I don't have a picture of that Australian animal, how do you spell it in English? Kangaroo?

I have a mental lapsus of my own... see how much I know you, I don't even know what you are... is it an emu? but there's another bird that looks like that too, I can't remember the name (english not first language for me either)

do you think mentioning other people is politically incorrect? At least I know how to edit posts now, I could take it out!

It's not about being faster it's that we are double threading and right now in the risk of triple-threading which can be more serious!
I just looked at my previous post and I can't believe how paranoid I sound!

They might not give me much time when they come to get me... maye I won't even get that proverbial phone call... so let me tell you now!
You are lots of fun

What is you first language, if I may ask?

Yes, I'm an emu, well, not really.

I wanted to explain where I got that 'cow jumping over the moon' and so on but that is a long story. Short version: it is part of a poem that was composed by a Sufi called Puran. I heard him reciting it a long time ago, in the seventies, and it impressed me deeply. I still remember a lot of it after all those years.

You mean you're not an emu???? How shocking!
lol.gif

Spanish, and yours?

Out with the rest of the poem! I like it!
Okay... that might sound too demanding. Can I please hear the whole poem (or as much as you remember)?
happy.gif

And I would love to hear the story, sounds intriguing. Where did you hear it? did you read it again afterwards or did you memorized it just from hearing it once? and I hate to ask so many questions (not really
biggrin.gif
) but what is a Sufi?

Dutch + some Spanish from my mothers side. We both look Spanish (dark hair and eyes) but I don't speak the language, neither does she. We speak Dutch or a dialect that is very close to German.

The rest of the poem, I wrote that I remember a lot but it's mostly bits and pieces now, not many full sentences. I will try to reconstruct more, that will take time.
I heard it only once when I was part of a Sufi group. A Sufi is ... undefinable. Every group is different. Originally, Sufism is a mystical branch of the Islam. Like with Christian mystics they are usually at odds with the official doctrine. The Sufis that I have been with (different groups) had no ties with the Islam at all anymore.

Hey, how come I'm so serious all of a sudden?

You must be sleepy...
zzz.gif

It's pretty late there....

You must have had an interesting life... I've never heard of christian mystics... but I guess it's not such a far-fetched idea. Are the sufis people you 'run away' with, like hare krishnas or just a normal group where you meet them once a week?

The men in black never came (they must have heard I had a hero on call) but we did get our hands slapped in the other thread!
biggrin.gif

Anyway, it will be nice trying to imagine...

"the electrical film of humanity covering the earth, longing, longing, longing" and
"how beautiful we all are"

somehow the cow over the moon has never done much for me!
biggrin.gif

will be waiting for the rest of it also. With mercury in Gemini and all that it should come to you sooner or later.

Good night, sweet prince

"I've never heard of christian mystics... but I guess it's not such a far-fetched idea. "

FYI, you may have heard of Quakers, aka Religious Society of Friends - they are in fact a modern mystic branch of Christianity. (They are Christian generally but extremely open to and tolerant of alternative perspectives within their own ranks compared to, say, the Baptist or Catholic churches).

Hi Lightangel-
There is a Christian mystic Really worth looking into, name of Meister Eckhart (1260-1327, a German priest). I'm about as far from being Christian as a boy can be, but I love his writings and images.
Sufis, almost by definition, are all mystics, but there are several orders and varying degrees of comprehension.

Jeff, Bradford, thanks for your input. I did some googling on Meister Eckhart and I'm sure I'll find something interesting to read.

Good morning Lightangel!

Your Mercury is in Aquarius? Air? Very possible!
Did you (or your computer) calculate your chart?

I also left that other thread. It's no longer safe there, I think. Police!
happy.gif

Love Eckhart too. And there are others. The first one I read was Teilhard de Chardin. I was only 15 then and it kind of awakened me. Magnificent vision!

Buenos Dias!
I did it on the internet. It was really easy, they don't even ask for your e-mail addresss. I don't know if it was in retrograde or not, though... I guess I can have more information if I pay... (dearly, with all the spam I would receive afterwards). I haven't even read all of it, just checking for Mercury.
happy.gif

I'll look up de Chardin too.

It looks like most people in this forum have the same sort of 'spiritual education' (as far as self-education goes, I guess). Is there something to that? How did you discover the Yi?

I think I 'met' the Yi (so to speak) for the first time when I was traveling with a very nice older gentleman. He was fond of yoga and spent most of the day sitting or standing (hard to say what it was sometimes) in postures that seemed rather odd or even completely impossible to me, especially in view of his age.
He also had this book ...
He used it a lot and introduced me to it. As far as I remember the first answer that I ever received from the Yi - in his presence - was hexagram 4. I took this to mean that I was a fool. Wrong interpretation?

Hrmmm. Can't say that I know the answer to that for sure, but it's not something I'd bet on...

"How did you discover the Yi?"

Ye olde thread on that exact topic linked below. Why not add to it, LightAngel (and maybe some of the other new folks that have been posting a lot lately... )

Well, maybe a whole bunch of us took a little too much acid...
But I'll bet we mostly took different paths

From what I read here it would seem so - the different paths that is, not necessarily the acid.
happy.gif

Perhaps we have something in common in that many of us are attracted to ancient paths?
