, no, I was just curious if your moon was maybe also in air because you are so fast .. and so curious.
The moon sign corresponds to ones basic feeling quality or atmosphere, something like that - not easy to explain in a few words.

The effect of the eyes and what came after that, that is a looooooooong story - perhaps I can say more about it later, but it's very difficult to describe, certainly (for me) in English.

Are you at work? It's a religious holiday here.

Must be nice work, if you can meanwhile post here. My last job (I don't work at the moment, health issues) was quite different.

Hi Lightangel

RE: but it doesn't seem possible to bring back the forces of selection... are there any theories on how that could be acomplished, without any ethical issues.

Well, Hitler tried it, and didn't have any ethical issues. So did the Nobel sperm bank guy with positive eugenic choice.
I doubt we will do much of it ourselves. But, by definition, unsustainable behavior extinguishes itself. To the extent that we are exceeding the sustainable, long-term carrying capacity of the earth - to that exact extent - we must eventually undergo a dieoff. That might occur over many centuries, as it reduces the carrying capacity still further. I don't know that I like what it will select For though. I want to see something that eats lawyers, soldiers, politicians and Christians. Figure out the rest later.

Well, my moon seems to have been in Scorpio. Part of what it says about it might be upsetting: <font color="0000ff">"Your moods are deep, extreme and not always completely understood by yourself or by those with whom you have to deal"</font>. That sounds a little bit crazy, doesn't it?
happy.gif

Yeah, it's a good job. I do feel a little guilty about 'surfing' while at work but everyone does it and besides I get the job done. Religious holiday! I remember those! They don't exist in the U.S.! (at least I've never been lucky enough to work in a company that has religious holidays!). I find it ironic that Europe is less religious than the US and yet they seem more religious in so many ways....

Should I dust off my dutch dictionary? Just bluffing, I don't have one. You express yourself so well I can't believe it that there are things you feel you can't express in english.

Health Issues?? I don't want to be too curious...

....
But I care! I want to know! \clipart(happy). Are they the kind that go away? Are they the kind that are just bad enough to keep you from working but that's it, they let you enjoy your time off?

And you didn't answer the other question either. Why do I feel like it's late, like you might be tired... it's not that late! On the other hand, Martin, darling, at your age and in your condition...

Hi Bradford,

<font color="0000ff">"Well, Hitler tried it, and didn't have any ethical issues."</font>
You're joking, right!?

Sometimes you can sound scary.. but I'm sure it's just the way you sound.

"lawyers, soldiers, politicians, christians"... they can't all be bad!!! it's not possible. But I do know what you mean.

Scorpio-moon + Pisces-sun. Both water, lots of feeling. It's nice to have Mercury in air then, makes it lighter and it gives the possibility to talk about what one feels. And to sort it out. Air + water is a good combination for psychology.

Perhaps sleep will come earlier than yesterday but I'm still awake. The health problem - it doesn't look like it will go away. It's not an illness, but a lot of things don't work as they should. The main symptom is that I tire very easily. I'm used to it, I have it already 20+ years, with ups and downs. It is a handicap but it also helps me somehow.
It's like a 24 hours/day meditation.

I'm really much slower in English that I am in Dutch and I often get stuck in the middle of sentence. My posts would probably be (say) 4 times as long if I could write them in Dutch and much much more sophisticated. Really!
lol.gif

But this is also, probably, a handicap that helps me somehow. I seem to like handicaps.

Yeah, about the I Ching!
happy.gif
. You seem to have such a rich inner life, I wonder what the I Ching does for you. Do you have pressing questions? Or do you just 'talk' to it. Or what?

But you are comfortable, right? It sounds like you are. Sleeping all day. Staying up all night! I remember it used to be exciting to stay up all night, when I actually could do that. Ages ago! What do you do? Work on your chess program? Do you play chess at all? How good were you when you used to play chess?
happy.gif
. Did you beat Kasparov???? Sorry, at your age you probably would have played Capablanca!
smooch.gif
.

Yeah, you do like handicaps!
happy.gif
. I can't imagine 'your mercury' when you are in 'dutch mode'. And meditating all day! You definitely are my master, okay? I don't care if it is I who found you! At any rate, I don't think I'm likely to meet any more Sufis! They are rare in this part of the desert...

Don't be overwhelmed by so many questions. You can always not answer, or you can do it in a very gradual way...

Wait! Am I treating you like an invalid??? It will pass.

You should really stop being so funny. All this laughing slows me down even more. No, no, what did I say, please, don't stop, I love it!
kiss.gif

Capablanca?? Hey! Well, I can say that he never won from me.
happy.gif

Anyway, as a chessmaster I'm no good, my program beats the hell out of me (and it doesn't kiss after delivering a blow, like you
kiss.gif
) and that would be fine if my program was good, but it isn't. Sigh ...
blush.gif

To add to my misery, I'm sure that I'm also no good as a Sufi master, no good at all, yet I'm very glad that you have chosen me, although you will probably beat the hell out of me, but that kiss, you know, that kiss ..

biggrin.gif

About the I ching, well, lets first post this ..

Yes I'm joking. About that anyway.
And I'm not scary at all in person, except to myself.

I have to go out... when I come back you'll probably be asleep... but I'll get to read what you wrote... Sweet dreams! Master!

I won't be able to be funny anymore. Too self-concious now... so I will only be inadvertently funny, which is sad....

Good night!

And that last post of yours is so pessimistic. Stop!

I know you are a great Sufi Master! (maybe a little high maintenance?... just kidding!)
I can tell!

Your program will be better and then it won't matter that it beats you!

Smile, rise and shine! (not now, tomorrow)

Still trying to find words for what the IC means to me. Not that much as an oracle, really. And I don't see it as a guide.
What interests me most is the diversity it paints. Every hexagram is another world.

Astrology has helped me to understand and value people who are different from me. And their worlds. It's more or less the same with the IC.

biggrin.gif

So... you were saying...

"Every hexagram is another world."
That's intriguing! Do you think that it is all-encompassing?

Do you do readings every day?

Perhaps it is all encompassing, I don't know.

Nice expression, 'all encompassing'.
I see now, btw, that you wrote 'so I will only be inadvertently funny, which is sad' last night and that the word 'inadvertently' didn't register here. I shouldn't have answered 'you can't help it' because that sounds like 'inadvertently'...

Then how shall I say it? Oh, these words, I will let you know when I found them. Or they me.
happy.gif

All encompassing .. all embracing? Must be on the right track, begins to sound like love.
kiss.gif

Nevertheless, I rarely do readings. You?

I don't know why, but my intuition is telling me to remind you that you don't have to force yourself to come up with answers... at least not on anybody's time. Surely, as a master, you will have answers in due time... (hopefully not in tree-time).

Then again, my intution is brand new and it might be malfunctioning a bit... maybe you are brimming with answers and desperate to communicate them...

In any case, my intuition also tells me you are really nice
happy.gif

Synchronistically (I refuse to check the spelling - or the existence of the word) I just read your latest post where you say you will wait for words...

I knew what you meant by 'you can't help it'.
Besides, it's would not be that sad. It's good to be funny, I love to laugh, even if it's at myself...

Sometimes I don't ask any questions, sometimes I ask A LOT. But it's my way of getting to know it... I think. I don't know much at all, but I'm learning the names and now, more recently, the shapes. I give myself 'quizzes'...
lol.gif
I really want to start learning the trigrams, as I hear a lot of people get a lot from them.

Then again, I'm not sure why I'd like to know it so well... surely to ask questions, to 'know'... but why do I need to know... I guess it's exciting. The first time you ask a question and you get something that sounds like it's about the question... you're hooked.

So, if it's not so much of an oracle, or a guide, what do you think it tells us?
For instance, I asked about a teacher, and got the 17. What doest it mean I got a 17 (other than the fact that it's coincidentally {your} age and - I forgot to tell you - also mine...
happy.gif
)?
What I mean with my question is... this 17 is not a prediction (Oracle), nor is it telling me how to learn from the teacher (guide), so what does it tell me? Weird question perhaps... but I have to challenge you, after all the trouble you went through in finding me...

But even in Dutch words are often very far from what I experience. Or so it seems.
So I will have to answer in, what was that, tea time?

17, I like that hexagram. To me, it means that things are or will be easy, flowing. But not lazy. There is a lot of vitality in it.
It's like a river that comes from the mountains and then - how do you say that in English? - expands?
Other may see or feel 17 different, though. I think the language of the IC becomes more and more personal through the years.

Couple easy questions!

Where is the moon right now???

And, incidentally, where was your moon?

The moon and the sun are the main influences? and, the other planets, the closer they are to Earth, the more influence they have?

But your answer about the 17 sounds like an Oracle. If you don't see it as an Oracle, how would you read the 17...?

Right now the moon is in Virgo.

My moon is in Taurus.

That WAS easy!

"the closer they are to Earth, the more influence they have?"

*scratches head*
I think there is no simple straightforward relationship between distance and influence.

It was easy but you didn't do the extra credit!
happy.gif

The extra credit is to say what it means where your moon was...

Does it make any difference in people's mood where the moon is at a certain time?
I promise that's it for Astrology. I am fully aware that the Astrology class is in the other building.

"Does it make any difference in people's mood where the moon is at a certain time?"

I sometimes noticed that the atmosphere in pubs seemed to correlate with the sign of the moon.
Much harmony with the moon in Pisces, for instance, and if people dance they seem to become one. Oceanic.

Moon in Taurus is quiet, calm and reacts sloooooooowly emotionally. Given to rather down to earth and not very subtle humor, especially when the 'owner' also has sun in Cancer ...
