"reacts sloooooooowly emotionally"

does that mean "emotionally unavailable"?
biggrin.gif

So, sensitive but not emotional... good combination, I guess.

Do you always just know where the moon is, do you check every day, or do you check only after you saw the ocean of people at the pub?

"But your answer about the 17 sounds like an Oracle. If you don't see it as an Oracle, how would you read the 17...?"

Still the same. But the meaning that it has for me now is related to situations in which I received 17 in the past, when I did use the IC more as an oracle than I do now.

Oh well, the moon doesn't say everything, there are other planets .. (sob)

I usually don't know where Luna + companions hang out. Only when I'm in an astrological mood.
Happens sometimes.

I see...

You post so fast! I just saw your question... I WAS at work! Now, after 90 enchanting minutes in traffic, I'm finally home! Whenever you feel down, think about all the traffic you don't have... i bet you don't even need a car! What bliss!!!

Did you fall asleep? I hope you didn't fall asleep on top of your keyboard, as people your age are likely to do...
biggrin.gif
but if you did, maybe you get a 'you have mail' signal and it will wake you up. You'll probably be disoriented, though...

Why don't we pretend we're actually 17?!
I'm running away with the Sufis! and you?

You actually have a birthday in june, no? either that or July.

I always thought that Cancers were emotional, but I guess there's more to the story...

Why 404???

Didn't we agree, it's seventeen!?

I don't have a butterfly picture... sob? is the moon where it would make me emotional??? sob!!!
Sob!!!

Butterflies wouldn't survive in the desert and the Sufis go to the desert.

Oh, Sufis are everywhere, perhaps even close to where you live. USA?
There was a Sufi in the USA in the past. His name was Samuel Lewis, IIRC.

I know they are everywhere, I did a google and there are a lot of websites, and I read the 11 principles...
How is it different from Buddhism (okay, I didn't really read them, just skimmed through them). Because there is a God?

But, if one is going to run away with the Sufis, why do it in the US? Much better to go to the desert with them, no?

What does IIRC mean?

And, when you used to use the I Ching, did you ask a lot, or just a little?
I think asking a lot is good because you get to know the hexagrams a little better, like I'm not scared of 23 anymore, not even 52.3, which looks horrible. But I still haven't asked any 'big' questions, I'm waiting for when I know it better, I guess. Do you think it's bad to ask the same question many times? I don't. Sometimes it stops talking to me and sometimes it gives me the 4 or the other one, the 'repeated penetration' and then maybe I stop... But I think it's been nice to me.

So, it has stopped being an Oracle, it's not like it never was one. Now, you just have absorbed the information and you just interpret without looking at any book? and you interpret just by seeing a pattern that you have seen before? Is that how you use it?

Anyway, Master

Hard to say how if differs from Buddhism because there is so much diversity within Sufism. The teachings differ from group to group and I think I know what you mean by these 'principles' but if you ask me which they are exactly I wouldn't know.
happy.gif

The kind of Sufism that I'm familiar with is experience oriented, it's not a philosophy or a theology ...

Hey, the computer says "you have mail!"

Did you eat? If not, that would be your first assignment.
No need to wash the dishes, though.

Would you now be so kind to give ME an assignment, please?
I don't want to play teacher all the time. That was my job! (well, most of the time)
Please?

"and you interpret just by seeing a pattern that you have seen before?"

Yes, I occasionally look something up though, especially when I want to know what the origial text says precisely. I can't read Chinese, but the sites of LiSe and Brad are very helpful.

I ate, Master, Sensei, I ate! (am I being over-eager?)
happy.gif

My first assignment should probably be... to actually cook! and not feed everybody junk... well, I try to maek sure it's not so junky, okay? That's where the challenge is... I just don't have timeh to do it (or to do the other myriad things I need to do in this house...
sad.gif
...

But, unless your assignment is to beat myself up and reveal all my horrible traits (laziness, complacency... ad infinitum}, that doesn't matter.

And I do wash the dishes, Sensei, ALL THE TIME. As little as possible, of course, what with paper cups and paper plates...

.

As for your assignments... you have ENOUGH don't you think???
happy.gif
.

Did you eat? If you don't eat enough you'll be all feathers and beak!

What did you TEACH? I can't believe it, you've always been a TEACHER!!!

Perhaps you are right, I do have enough. Love it though. You are perhaps the most curious student I ever had.

I teached math, physics and psychology, mainly.
And I did and do eat a lot of .. junk. And I don't wash dishes. I throw them away!
So don't worry.

Is that how it ended up???
A catty kitty?

I thought maybe the mouse found the way to escape (after all, he had the brain) and then realized that it was tough being the bread-winner, the one in command, the one in charge of thowing away the dishes, for Christ's sake! and decided to return the brain to you... Emu Extraordinaire!

I know what you mean about it being hard to put some things into words... but you have to try! After all, you do need words to communicate, no?
Sometimes there might be a book or a movie I like very much and it's difficult to explain why. I remember having a hard time in high school trying to explain why a book touche me, you just end up saying things you have heard before, but that are not really expressing what you 'think'.
I read somewhere one time about how different languages actually make you 'think' more, they give you actually more ideas than you had before, I guess that you have more ways of expressing that which you can not express...
But you have to try! have you ever communicated telepathically?

I looked in the mirror and you are right! I am an emu that dreamed that it was a kitty ..

I was thinking, btw, we are still in this thread on this forum and we only occasionally talk about the IC .. 'they' might arrest us!
Perhaps we should switch to email?

Now that you're safely in love and have established that you both have email, this will stop being the fastest-growing thread in the history of the site.
