Please help! relationship issues

This guy I have been seeing for about 3 months has moved to NZ for a yr to take up a new job offer. We decided we'd keep in touch and see where things go. I just recently discovered that he lied to me about who he was staying with, and is actually staying with an ex until he moves out. He says that nothing has happened between them, but I highly doubt it. I asked what would happen between us in the future and I got hexagram 21 changing to hexagram 1. As far as I can see it may mean that if I am assertive and strong then there will be a positive outcome. I remember doing a reading for a friend many years ago about her new love interest and she got hexagram 1 and they ended up getting married and are still together. Could I have people's thought on this? I Know that I should move on given the lies and the fact that the trust is broken, but i felt a deep connection and don't know if it is worth persisting. positive side he was lying to save your feelings so he

Your insight into both hexagrams makes a lot of sense

Going back to the issue, I also asked about what the future holds for them. I got 23.1.3 becoming hexagram 22. What are your thoughts on that one? I know that 23 means "Splitting apart" but I don't really understand how it links with 22 which is about grace...

you mean you asked what the future hold for your boyfriend and
his ex in NZ?
That seems strange - I think you need to read the sticky on asking
about relationships as I think Yi talks to us and it may be referring
to you and him
that it gets stripped back to core and 22 attracting

as I said you start over - 22 attract him once more send some
photos of you looking super fab make over time and get ya
self an invite over. COURAGE MA FILLE!!! will look at this after

I am not so hot on relationship interpretations, white owls
take on things I have found special at times - but everyone
else too
3 months before a guy leaves huh - bad timing
so we have 21 > 1 well that could mean get your
best dress on and go out feeling desirable and sought after
will soften this blow

now 23 > 22 if you think it refers to 'them' may mean
that its a superficial therefore not lasting relationship
- so you may be hearing from him again

22 is adornment - caring for the outside not whats within
we write it 23,1,3>22

Thanks hopex As it stands now i think it's best to move on or detach from the situation so maybe that's where the number 1 comes from. He always seems more eager to speak to me and misses me more when i show less interest in him. From our last conversation it sounds like he needs space to figure out his feelings. I saw you commenting about some book in another thread "The Rules". It's funny but did you know that there is a book for men called the "The system" which is kind of the the equivalent to the rules but the male version! haha..it seems like humans just always want what they can't have. Thanks for helping me with this reading. I've emailed the white owl and she said she'd have a look at the reading.

Agree with hopex on this part.

I received Grace when asking about my first year at a university. Until then, I'd felt pretty good about myself after getting top grades on the prereqs and getting accepted into the school. Getting 22 pretty much burst my ego bubble, but it was true (darn it); it took several years for true substance to set in.

I see your point...trust me I do see ur point! It still doesn't make it any easier when it happens to you with someone you thought was maybe "the one" and trust me we had a great time together..it felt really special. I have decided to let it go though..as difficult as it is. I'm more concerned whether he deserves a second chance if he comes back..i get the feeling he will..

I agree about the 23 <22 - a splitting apart will lead to something graceful, superficial and adorning.

And 21 <1 could be getting at the truth will lead to significant change, lots of creative activity in hx 1.

Unfortunately he is! I still don't really get the part of him splitting with his ex and then the grace hexagram..does this mean that they'll still be attracted to each other? hmmm

However, was looking at 21 again since it relates more to your part in this situation and noticed in 21.5 "The case to be decided is indeed not easy but perfectly clear" (Wilhelm's book, Book I, line 5 commentary).

IMO, be patient with yourself, continue being an objective observer, and there will come a time when you are at peace with what's "perfectly clear"...
