Please help with 41 and 40

Hi Everyone.

I need your help with a recent reading.

Last week, someone I use to be involved with has contacted me several times after many months of no contact. First he left me a couple voicemails that sounded deparate to talk to me, then he sounded very relieved and said how happy he was that we were talking again and how he was afraid I wouldn't return his calls. We've had a few converations over the past week, but I just don't know what to think. I feel very confused about this and need help interpreting.

I asked the IC, "what does X feel for me?" I got Hexagram 41.5 > 61

Then I asked, "Will X persue a romantic relationship with me?" I got Hexagram 40.5 > 47

Please, I would appreciate any help you can give.

It appears that he feels very warm and friendly towards you, he seems to be very sincere, open and trustworthy.

Then I asked, "Will X pursue a romantic relationship with me?" I got Hexagram 40.5 > 47

It does not look like it as it seems that he has other problems that need to be sorted out.

In this reading, I'm going to follow the 'exact correspondence between query and response' model.

You asked 'what does X feel for me?' and you drew 41.5. 41.5 is all about 'nothing better than' so I'd say that he's in love with you, or something like that

You asked 'will X pursue (sp) a romantic relationship with me?' and you drew 40.5. 40.5 is all about nobility and release, and how that applies to his pursuit of you is beyond my capacity to discern, but speaking completely personally now, I'd be more than happy to pursue someone I loved with an attitude of 'noble release'. He's my kinda guy, in other words. So...what do *you* feel about him?

LOL I think that says he already has one, no need to pursue it. Of course i guess you're talking of the outward aspect of it, but inwardly he has already won you over...perhaps

Just to update everyone, he suddenly disappeared from my life. No warning, no communication, no explanation, no goodbye...just gone.

Please help me to understand why the Iching told me the complete opposite?
