I have an idea for a book I'd like to write. It's a scary time to be a writer, of course, with the publishing industry in such bad shape, and so while I'm excited about the idea, I'm also feeling cautious. So I asked two questions:

What would come to me from writing this book proposal? 46.2 to 15

Will it sell? 61.1,3,5,6 to 46

Here are my thoughts on those:

46 -> 15 Hard to read the line as anything but positive. The question to me is whether 15 is advice about how to approach things as I go (stay humble and modest, don't get carried away), or whether it's more directly about what will come to me (the experience will flay my ego and teach me humility).

61 -> 46. I hear this as saying, "Write it from your heart, and things will grow. Watch out for crowing too much; stay carefully grounded. And there are no guarantees." I'm a little concerned that the two most unambiguously positive lines are the ones I *didn't* get. The general sense of 61 -- being centered and connected to the spirits, bringing the inner reality to the outer world -- is exactly what I want to be doing with my writing. And I want to bring it about through the grounded, step-by-step work of 46. But I'm not sure that necessarily adds up to it selling.

Two more:

What impact will this have on my career? 1.1,5,6 to 32

What sort of emotional impact will it have on me career-wise? 2.3,5 to 39.

Boy, I don't know. This all sounds an awful lot like I'll have a great time writing it, it won't sell, it'll be really hard emotionally, it'll require perseverance to move beyond it, though it will also unleash some powerful forces, both masculine and feminine ones. Might should do it, but it's intimidating.

Any thoughts are most appreciated.

It suggests that you are not a writer by profession but nevermind, go ahead and give it a go as someone, somewhere maybe interested with the book oneday.

You will have to make this potential book come alive in the minds of those who will eventually read it, then there is a chance of success. You will also need to find a publisher that will take it on as well, convince him or her that you are a winner.

You've summed it all up the same way I would have. Guess that's not much help, but I feel your dilemma.

If you have something true to say, 61 is all about saying it. When I'm in writing mode, I listen for what wants to be said. As for increase, we never know who our true words reaches and changes. They may fall on the ears of the very one who can help build your career.

There's also the delay of judgment factor with 61. Not yet the time for reaching conclusions. It's a good time to evaluate what you trust and like. 15
