Dear members

I am currently having problems with a trainee where I work.
I had asked this person to do something very benign for the job not for me personaly.
He told me I had asked too much of him, refusing to help me.

Afterwards he went to complain about me to my boss. The bosd told him
he had to cooperate and do what I asked.Thinks he is taking liberties etc this person having shoot themselves bit in foot.

Now he is trying to tell me how to do things and questions what I do.
I have defended myself but find it all very stupid

I am usually too nice to people too friendly.
I am trying to change certain behaviours.
Does anyone have any good ideas?

So I asked
Should I be defensive?
Got hexagram 19.1

Which suggests an approach. So no I should approach and not be too late in doing so.

I asked Give me some advise please on how to deal with N?
I got hexagram 5 4 and 5.

I must get out of pit or blood. Not engage with this man?
He is moving to a different department soon.
Eat and drink don't worry too much.I have other good things going on.??

Or give him something to eat as he is likes to eat a lot keep him happy can't be that no.

Thanks I do try to always update.
So if anyone has an idea?

I don't tend to comment on other peoples readings as
still learning but have done if I had very important experience.

You said defensive, but you meant Assertive.

The boss is already united with you on this. (19.1)
So the bossy schumck (trainee!, lol) needs to be directed. If he gives you any grief, notify the boss right away.
Boss has your back.

Tell him to put his suggestions in writing. That should help him focus and present his ideas in a way that are less confrontational. Also, if he has to put all his brilliant insights on paper he may decide to just let you be in charge.
Since you know he's going to be transferred soon, 5. Waiting changing to 34. Great Strength sounds like you can afford to just wait him out.

A great comment when someone has gone on and on to no significant purpose is to simply say, "Thank you for sharing." ;)

Power Play at work

Hello found out the trainee had been trying to involve other colleagues in saying he was right and able to decline to do what I asked.
All very crazy, glad that my boss is backing me up and one of the colleagues too.

Thanks MossElk and Rosanda.
