I've got some plans but not sure when I'll initiate them - it could be today, it could be in a month but either way it will mean I'm moving out of my present home.

How worthwhile is it for me to start preparing my home for a move 33.4.5.6>15

This looks very auspicious to me - It's definitely worthwhile to prepare for the Retreat from my present home.

I'm doing it because I want to not because I have to or feel the need to go (just because of some silly uncalled for gossip) and if I start now it gives me the time to get things done without rushing.
I'm happy to be moving on to bigger and better things...

What if once I'm packed up I head to THIS town Hex 56.3.4.5>20

Hex 56 is sometimes called Adventure and that's what I'm ready for - a new Adventure (might even buy a house on the way)
Line 3 - I've made my decision to leave my present home
Line 4 - I'm not sure if this is referring to job I have now - it's an okay job but I'm not happy there. Or if it's my idea of teaching yoga as I travel or the teaching job that is available in this new place.
Line 5 - I will find a place/position where I'm recognised for the talents and skills I can provide.

Hex 20 - it's a place worth going to see what's what.

Yes, I agree with your interpretation, and I would add that beginning to prepare will solidify your resolve to carry through with your plans, as well as streamlining the process when the time comes. Good luck!

Line 4 might be a job as a Governess I'd been considering for a few days and had a couple of conversations with the parents.
The job would have stretched me beyond what I'm capable of doing so I said No - another well considered Retreat.

i wouldn't read the retreat as a move, to me it's more like hold-back, time-out or withdrawal, often in the sense of withdrawing from the idea i ask about. with 3 lines changing (especially if top or bottom 3 lines change) i like to look at which trigram changes and here it's heaven to earth, which brings to mind balancing things out, while the bottom trigram, mountain, keeping still, doesn't move at all. Bradford named the hexagram "distancing", but again, not in the sense of moving forward, rather backwards, with a sense of detachment, disengagement. though i can also see, how the lines can seem encouraging here.

if you start now, wouldn't that be rushing?

as to the traveler, 56.3 - you will make it impossible to get back to the place you once had and lose the connections you built or the committed young servant (maybe kids or other people you work with), 4 - you'll get a new place to stay and obtain new means to live but it won't make you happy. 5 - by getting rid of the old you'll eventually get a new start (for some reason the pheasant here makes me think it could be about the gossip). in the end the move will give you a chance for gaining a broader perspective maybe (20), or 20 is the current situation and a call to look at this 56 from different directions.

but seeing again 3 consecutive lines change made me look at what trigram moves here and internally it's the lake, or the joyous changing to the mountain again, keeping still. so maybe the joy you feel about it now need some meditating.

It's one of those readings that could be either way or both I think. It's something I will continue to think about in leiu of what you've said. There's a lot of things I could pack away that aren't things I really use. Actually I have quite a few boxes I've never unpacked here because of the potential of buying my own home sometime this year and this place is quite small.

I pulled this up and I remember reading once that each line can represent different people -

33. Withdrawal​

Line 4:​

Withdrawing, while preferring to do so. This is good for the one withdrawing, but frustrating for the other party.
This is me and they're frustrated by it.

Line 5:​

Withdrawing because it is appreciated by the other party. Things will go well by persevering in it.
This is what I want them to do and if they did, things would tick along a lot better.

Line 6:​

Withdrawing creates a fertile situation. The withdrawal is not causing any problems.
There would be not problems if they just left me alone.

Being humble. This helps bringing things to a good end, as one is not in a position to make demands. There is progress.
