Last night, I finished writing a song online and started editing to see what verb or/grammar to use. I showed two songs I wrote on my own to the Japanese language coordinator at my college.

How should I interpret his comments? 33 uc Retreat. Is he giving me a compliment?

Will he help me with my music career? 13.1.2 People in Harmony to 44 Coupling.
Line 1 says, "People in harmony at the gate. Not a mistake." Should I trust him for advice going forward?
Line 2 says, "People in harmony at the ancestral temple. Shame." Will there be limitations?

Retreat from his comments could mean he's not going to tell you good things.
Anyway don't think about it. Retreat.

Bradford's translation names this hexagram "distancing". the image from Wilhelm:
Success. In what is small, perseverance furthers.

don't know the nature of what he said or wrote. sounds like you did a good job but there's also an idea of distance or some reserve. maybe the advice is to work on what's achievable?

Will he help me with my music career? 13.1.2 People in Harmony to 44 Coupling.

line 1 describes the beginning of gathering of people where everyone has equal position to start from, but the situation changes in line 2 - Wilhelm: There is danger here of formation of a separate faction on the basis of personal and egotistic interests. Such factions, which are exclusive and, instead of welcoming all men, must condemn one group in order to unite the others, originate from low motives and therefore lead in the course of time to humiliation.

i'm not sure about 44, it could be either about meeting the professor, as in the question, but also as a result of the original hexagram maybe eventually meeting (other) people, or going out, meeting people (with your music)? i think he'll somehow help your career but line 2 is strong advice against forming any cliques.

Legume, I wrote several Megaman Battle Network Songs in Japanese as I want to serve a niche in the Japanese industry. Speaking of cliques, my target market is 13-35, basically people my age.

He said that I have good Japanese language skills. In an earlier reading, I would have success in the beginning but there will be conflicts with cliques.
