Dear brothers and sisters,I worked in an organization for 10+ years now. A year ago (Jun 2018), I asked for transfer from my old to this new department of mine (still within the same organization). However, things have gone down-hill since 5 months into the transfer (around Nov 2018). I realized a great mis-fit in terms of the nature of the work, the culture and how my strengths are not leveraged at all.I wanted to go back to my old department and asked the I-Ching on my prospect of returning. I obtained the hexagram 59. I've read and re-read the text and it seemed to morph with new meaning each time I read.My interpretation of the reading is that the oracle is prompting me to change my perspective of this new department and that I am "suffering" because of my assumption and perspective. It also seemed to suggest that I should remain in here. However, I've been diagnosed with anxiety disorder since working here. More importantly, the oracle didn't quite answer whether the transfer back to my old department will take place.Brothers and sisters, I hope to also gain the wisdom of your interpretations.

That is my experience of 59uc it is a bit of a shape shifter and it is hard to knowhow to take it in response to different questions.

I think for your question it bodes well for a return to your old department in one sense anyway. There's no boundaries left in 59, whatever was there as a solid structure has dispersed, vanished, melted away. Whether this is a good thing or a bad thing depends on the question. If you want something to stay as it is then maybe 59 is not so great but if you want change it can be quite a promising answer.

In your situation nothing is set in stone or defined so rigidly that it cannot change. There's several ways to see this here.

It might be that you can't return to your old role because that has dispersed ? Perhaps the work that you did has been shared out amongst others ?

But it might also be that your current role isn't absolutely fixed anyway, there seems to be plenty of room to make changes.

I don't think this is an answer saying that you are stuck or that you must stay where you are I think it's an answer that says everything is in flux at the moment so it's quite possible your job could transform into something else, hopefully the old one, though the old one may have changed.

I think it would be a good idea to ask if you can go back anyway.

Also I will link to a thread on other people's experiences with 59uc here is the link

Omg! Your interpretation literally brought tears to my eyes. I mean, your paragraphs speak to me more than the oracle, seriously.Just some background, I did ask my ex-department head whether I could go back just 3 days ago. She shared that my old role was no longer available as there had been some "changes". Nevertheless, she did say she will try and would let me know by next week.I didn't share this but in the event if I could not return to my ex-department, I am likely to quit and explore other areas - change again in this case.Thank you very very much for sharing your wisdom.
