Hello, I hope someone may help me make sense of a recent reading.
I am in a very difficult situation, married to a narcissist, who is either distant or easily becomes verbally and emotionally abusive. I have no friends or family where we currently live (moved a few years ago) have been doing my best to make friends, find a job that may give me some financial freedom, but regardless of all the attempts, I have not yet succeeded. It leaves me frustrated and sometimes wondering if I am moving in the right direction.
My question was: Is there anything else I should try, or is there something I am not doing, that I should. Will I be able to work things out?
I received hexagram 12.4.6 to 8. When I read "obstruction" I truly worried. I know that perhaps the fact that it becomes 8, should be a positive. I just don't know how to best interpret the advice, related to my current situation.
Thank you for any feedback.

Obstruction is a bad translation of the Hexagram title. It's common, but it's wrong.
Things are moving, falling, or drifting apart, separating, not opposing each other.
Heaven and Earth are moving in opposite directions. It's not a confrontation.
It's only blocked in the sense of writer's block, nothing coming together.
Stagnation is a better word, or negation. I don't think you are where you belong.
But if you can move towards 8, somewhere where you feel at home, or find something
to do with yourself that's more deeply rewarding, that's encouraging.
More key words:

Disjunction, discontinuity, disengagement, pulling apart, alienation, indifference

Denial, negation, division, schism, pettiness, aloofness, apathy, numbness, decay

Stagnation, entropy, disorder, decadence, standstill; to misunderstand, disapprove

Ignorance, small-mindedness, lowest common denominators, leaders out of touch

Stratification, abstraction, disintegrity, disarray, dissonance, disharmony, discord

Non-participation, non-cooperation, negating and the need to negate, wrongness

tegrating, alienated, inappropriate; (to) deny, refuse, stop, negate, disapprove (of),

These hexagrams seem to describe your situation as a stagnant, non-cooperating union. The lines encourage you to make efforts to improve things by widening your circle so seeking to make friends and finding work seem to be good ideas. Volunteer work could be a way of making connections.

thank you very much Bradford for your input. You are right, I am not where I belong. I am trying to figure out next steps, not easy, but hopefully there will be some progress.

Thank you Rosada. I have been working on making new connections, and I realize that if I could find a job it would help me regain strength and confidence.

Is there anything else I should try, or is there something I am not doing, that I should. Will I be able to work things out? I received hexagram 12.4.6 to 8.
You should remove the Blockage (12) and Seek Union (8)- maybe where you haven't thought about before?
12.4: "Liu: He whose actions are in accord with the orders of the highest receives no blame. His fellows share in his blessing." Consider every opportunity that presents itself: what can you do about it? Is there something you can enjoy beside others?
12.6: " Liu: Stagnation ends. First there is stagnation, later good fortune." Then the stagnation ends and rejoicing comes.
The eights hexagram at the relating place indicates joining- I guess you should join a group.

Thank you for your feedback. I was just contacted for a job interview and really hope this is a good sign.
