Question. Relationship: 48 1.2.3.5 to 24

Thanks in advance for your help. I'm new to the I Ching and am grateful for any guidance. The longest relationship in my life has been on and off for over ten years, but he has always been there for me when I needed him. We are now at a place where a more established commitment could work. Unfortunately, I was recently assaulted by someone I loved and trusted, making everything unclear for me. I am now trying to 'choose' between this aforementioned partner, and someone else, but I am really struggling with trust after what happened to me. I now question every thing, including the reasons why the relationship has been on and off. I asked the I Ching "Is there a solid future with this person?" and received the following answer: 48.1.2.3.5 to 24. My first thought was that this is already such an established relationship (the well), and that the "returning" meant that a return to it is what is meant to be. However I'm really not educated enough in this method to interpret. Could any of you please advise? Much thanks, and sorry if this is too detailed!

I'll give a try! I personally love 48. I think is has to do with our psychological state of mind. And it primarly refers to you: it reflects your desire to understand what YOU want and need Indeed, even though outside of us everything change, we always remain bound to our structure, to our selves.

In the first three lines, you see an ascending perspective. The well is slowly becoming functional, you can repair it, but you have to cooperate. You'll understand what you need, and perhaps what you should do with this person exactly with him. I mean: there are always two people in a relationship, you should decide everything with the other person (cooperate).
I agree: this relationship is solid, you have to work together "to come back" (24) to a more establishes way of living your love!
