Question:"should i break up with xxxx?" Answer: Hexagram 44 temptation..?

Hi there,

I do the IChing quite regularly but always find it difficult to interpret readings for my own personal relations. Hence, id be interested in the communities advice on this.

I have a problem with trust with my girlfriend, as she is quite volatile, always changing her mind and instable about her position on sexual relations with others, of course due to this I find it difficult to trust her. So I asked the IChing, "should i break up with her...?"

The answer was hexagram 44 temptation, no changing lines.

I guess it really means i should break up with her, or does it mean that subconcsiously Im looking for other relations and I should not be tempted but that and should stay with her and faithful?

Please advice, your comments will be greatly appreciated!

It seems like it would be so great sometimes if some wise and higher consiousness would give us the answer. Oh wait, there is one that will. Your own. The answer just describes your situation. In my opinion. A situation that is unchanging with outside temptations. Whether they are hers or yours. The temptations are powerful, one should not marry them. The choice is yours. If she is not faithful, why should you be? Of course unless you want to be and it doesn't bother you that she is unfaithful. The question then is what do you want. What is healthy for you. Is this relationship healthy for you. The fact the answer is unchanging, seems then so will be the relationship status. The simple answer seems "yes" you should probably break up. Does it make a difference if the temptations are hers, yours, or both? There is no trust. She is violatile and unstable... are you happy with that? If you continue on in this way how will you grow? Or will you become stagnant and deteriorate?

Thank you, wise words and balanced, especially the choice, my higher self should know. Its complex as our souls are connected and the relation challenges my conceptions, attachment, jealousy, sex, my higher self believes its possible for nonmanogomy relations, but also my spiritual truth is not to vere from the soul i love and be committed. More the problem in this is actual truthful communication, being clear where we are at, but if this is always in a state of flux, this is not good for the soul, unless i guess like you say we dont mind, but my emotions do mind tge commotion and flux of unity with our divine self, partner is a lot younger so still wants to explore i guess and there is a big diffference between our self awareness most times and expressing inner truths.

I would think your higher self and spiritual truth are one. How connected are your souls if you do not share truth? Of course... we did have a discussion here on how sexual relations connect our energies. So you and her exchangeenergies. However, she is exchanging energies with others as well. You say because she is still young... what if she is like a free bird that will not ever be able to be caged? Perhaps you could ask another question to the Yi for clarification on what action you should take in regards to the relationship with this girl. Some good questions are "what is an image of our current relationship (name and I)?" Then how should I approach name?"

It seems if you are going to allow an open relationship, which is not easy. Then while you are allowing her to explore it is only fair to yourself to explore as well. If your spiritual truth says you want a committed relationship, why argue that? It can not be one sided. I have many beliefs about all of this , but I will hold back for now. You could ask "how can I grow in this relationship?" Life is about learning and growth, is it not? But I would think you would want a relationship that flourishes.

You intuit well, ive been lone for most of my adult life, and feel if this doesnt work will fully surrender to divine, which i guess i do anyway, which is another question, you can only surrender to the divine in a relationshio by surrendering to the divine in your partner, and if they are not in the divine, or near it on some occassions then it doesnt work, the higher force doesnt commute in a steady stream...

and plus ive thought on occassions i could try this openess to others but deeply it doesnt seem right, its coarse, you can in your higher self love all of course, but when it is connected with loving with physicality multiple, it reduces it down, unless done in very special tantric group processes which are powerful and unifying... but then thats not the point here...

I think blue angel youve helped me understand more the riddle in my own mind, i think i might be decieving myself out of hope, but the truth is, some experiences ive had recently i truly understand why some on the spiritual path need to be celibate, having been a lay person around some who are on and off and always questioned it practically, now i understand, so one and many or several other is way down after one to one, spiritually, unless very advanced or non attached to any party... for me anyway, not saying its wrong but just for me
