Quick question about hex 45

Hex 45 Ts’ui / Gathering Together [Massing]

All the translations I've been able to find interpret Hex 45 as meaning massing together of people. Could it also refer to saving (or massing) money. In other words, could it mean, don't buy x; save your money for y?

Insecurity is a potent force. Omnipotent Gods are made out of it. It drives religion, forms its foundation, hence the text in 45's Judgement. Cover them bases.

The extended meaning of hexagram 45 (Cui) can be understood as to save (as well as to collect) money now for a more valuable y in future.
Imho, the hexagram Cui means: the king goes to the shrine to declare legitimacy in order to gather the people together as line 4, a powerful courtier, gets more support. Cui needs a great leader who can well organize the gathered people and the king must generously treat all the gathered people, i.e. a good management as well as to keep what is reserved and to induce more. It is a preparatory activity and it is instrumental in undertaking what is planned. According to the sequence, the precedent hexagram is Gou (44), wherein the un-subdued feminine comes down from hexagram Guai (43) and meets the masculine on the back, signifying a crisis as well as temptation emerges. The next hexagram is Sheng (46), the reversed hexagram of Cui, wherein able and virtuous persons get promotion. Its inner hexagram is Guan (20), signifying those above present a model for those below to follow, i.e. a target. Its changed hexagram is Da Chu: large storage (26); the power will be largely converged after the people gather together.

I think all the emotional intensity of 45 comes naturally with the gathering - of people, or resources, or eggs all in one basket. (Or water all in one reservoir.) Interesting that every line, without exception, needs to reassure you there is 'no mistake'. Perhaps that ties in with what Brad said about the need for security.
