such a lovely experience and reading !!!

The skeptic in you probably won't like what I see in that reading , chuckles, but I can't help it and connect h19 qualities to your grandmother. A gift/ reminder that she is there ... a quite gentle presence like the soft light feather.

it's a feather -like reading to me and feel if I try to distill it with my logic will ruin it.

Hmm, what happend just here ? Mengs posting disappeared.
anemos, I liked it too. I just was going to answer on the last hex. 37 → 36 where Meng ask about his grandmothers intention with the raven feather, if it was a confirmation on his thoughts....
Well the webmaster must know.

It 36'd back into the darkness.

... yes if you take the tag given by some. Richard Rutt has Crying pheasant as tag to this hexagram...
Anyway, hex. 37.5.6. following the Nanjing-rule [http://www.biroco.com/yijing/Shih-chuan_Chen.pdf] which will point the topline out to be the oracle, this line will somehow confirm that the raven feather - to remind could be a sign from your grandmother - came as a sign from the top of the household; "The top line represents the head of a household..." [Alfred Huang, The complete I Ching, note to hex 37, Nine on 6'th. line.]. Household, this is also the tag in R. Rutts edition and many others too, or Family, Clan could as well have a living- as an ancestor as head to the household ie your grandmother...
But, as You have deleted your entrance in this Raven feather post please take my view as a reflect on this beautiful experience You had with this feather landing at your door.

Hmmmmm (!) don't know why but trying a check on the link above Birocco seemed to have it removed or the link renamed.... Here's an alternative (maybe more critical to the above): http://www.russellcottrell.com/VirtualYarrowStalks/NanjingiRules.htm

I would have just deleted the thread but the brief window of time allowed for that had already shut. Or perhaps it was that someone responded to it already.

Thank you, Maria and Svenrus for your input.
