Thinking of recontacting -- for a romantic purpose -- someone with whom there was a brief fling and then an argument a while ago, and no contact since.

Prospects? (WB translations)
64 Before Completion, unchanging.
"Before Completion. Success. But if the little fox, after nearly completing the crossing, gets his tail in the water, there is nothing that would further."
Hrm.

How should I approach if I want to maximize the prospects of success?
1.1.4 The Creative > 57 The Gentle
.1: "Hidden dragon. Do not act."
.4: "Wavering flight over the depths. No blame."

Interesting. The first reading has a kind of "yes, but" (if the fox gets its tail in the water -- problems) that is echoed in the second reading with a "no, but".... (don't act... but then again a kind of wavering, very tentative action might be fine).

I'm thinking a very subtle nudge to see if there's still interest might be appropriate? Just a hey, how's it going, type deal? No proposals or requests. And then seeing how it plays out?

I'm not understanding how you wrote the cast. What does 64.1.1.4 mean ? There can't be 2 line ones

Huh? There's no 64.1.1.4.

There are two different casts. The first was for the question of "Prospects" for which there was the answer 64 unchanging. Then there was the question of the best way to approach, for which the answer was 1.1.4 > 57.

Oh I get you, sorry, looking at the title I couldn't make sense of it.

In the post you wrote

Recontacting a brief fling? 64; 1.1.4
...and I didn't understand that because it's one question not 2. I mean 2 answers to one question...never mind

Overall I think it's a bad idea mainly just from your description of the situation, I mean why would you ?

1.1 isn't advising you to go for it but there is still openness to possibility at line 4.

Erm. subtle might be a good idea along with the openness of line 4

I think 64uc might mean here that this is left everlastingly open which could be quite frustrating if there's no beginning/ending point but all this hovering as in 1.4

I think if you want someone properly solidly there for you this is too fleeting/flimsy to be of account ? Is it worth it ? Only you know. I don't think emotional energy for these things is ever abundant.
