I had a nervous breakdown on Monday. I've just been sitting here at home and trying to rest.

I asked the Yi

What can I do to recover from this breakdown?

I got 48.3.5 to 7

What little my tired brain is willing to give up, I take this as I have a deep resource within myself that isn't being used.

Can anyone expand a little on this for me please?

xx

Very sorry to hear that. Very unpleasant experience. But it can be like a re-birth...

The notes from Wikiwing on 48.3.5:

LINE 3: There may be an evolution through this line. The well has been dredged and is available, and eventually the understanding is there for it to be used. Alternatively, the water could be drunk if only the king understood, if only there were a guiding awareness.

What needs to change here is not the well, but the people: their activity, their king’s vision, their acceptance of grace. In practice there seems to be a particular need for communication - if you recognise the well, don't get stuck in the heartache of 'if only', shine light until everyone can see it.

48 zhi Hexagram 29, the Well’s Repeating Chasm. Its deep, omnipresent flow, which may be so far down that the light of awareness has never yet reached it. We need ming, brightness, that complements 29. Maybe we also need to follow the heart (29’s Oracle, ‘holding fast the heart’) and trust it, showing some of 29’s courage to connect with the depths.

LINE 5:

‘The well: clear, cold spring water to drink.’

How simple. What you need is here – drink it.

48 zhi Hexagram 46, the Well’s Pushing Upward. Maybe the water welling upward, maybe the step by step process that brought you here: you can be sure that such steady work will be rewarded.

-----------
Once the stone work in the well has been repaired you can go on to give and receive again in the light of new awareness. Be gentle with yourself and take it step by step and I'm sure you'll be just fine and sunny again.

Sunnygirl-- I'm very sorry to hear about your status, and hope you're on the way to a better emotional place. I agree fully with Pocossin and Topal's assessment of The Well.

I find it interesting that both the initial and resultant hexes feature the image of underground water, with all that implies about life-energy, power, and potential.

By my reading, Hex 7 confirms and strengthens the message of The Well -- that you have or are coming into a place where your own "underground army" of internal and external resources can be brought to bear on the situation. Though it may not be apparent at the moment, you can take comfort in the knowledge that you are being helped, and more is on the way.

Wishing you all the best.

Thank you everyone! You certainly have helped!

I start counseling next week so that should be good.

I have my husband who has been so good through this and my religion.

I am trying to rest but feel impatient as I want to be better now.
