Okay... This is my turn for the relationship question. :)

Four questions that I made last night - I am doing my own interpretation but would love to have your thoughts on this - and advice. :)

Current situation of this association - 38.5 > 10
where this association is going - 34.1.4 > 46
what type of association is the best for us - 11.2.4 > 55
mmm who am I for him - 50.1.3.5 > 10

Thank you! :bows:

It suggests that you don't really understand what a good friend he actually is, you have not connected with him on a deep emotional level yet, this person has hidden depths which you need to make an effort to discover then you will be very pleased to be associated with them. At the moment you have not even scratched the surface of this person yet, you are still on the outside.

No remorse, no worries. This person is really close to you in some way - either emotionally or in your life's unfolding, and you connect with them in this case. No remorse about this, no worries.

Thank you, Dobro. Just wondering, when you receive a single line, do you just take the line itself as the main answer or the analysis comes from the original hex., the line and its relating hex.?

When I read for myself, I take a single changing line as meaning that I don't have to look at the relating hex, cuz my understanding is that the relating hex is already *built into* the changing line. So, if I draw 14.5, I don't bother looking at Hex 1 cuz I think that Hex 1, and possibly 1.5, is already built into the meaning of 14.5. This works well for me - because I know how I work and because the Yi knows how I work (probably because me and the Yi are the same thing on some level), the Yi gives me images that follow this procedure, and I know where I'm at when I'm reading.

When I read for another person such as yourself in this thread, I follow the same rule. The problem here, of course, is that the person doing the toss and requesting interpretation help might have a different set of assumptions and procedures, and so I might not be completely in tune with that when I do my reading of what they drew in their consultation. So... what about you?

I follow the same procedure - the line would give me the definitive answer. I was following the same for multiple lines as well but lately I saw that understanding the original hex. and its relating first helps me more to find the "colour" of what the lines are referring to. In anycase, it seems to me that, as I am learning more, my understanding is a lot less of what I originally thought.
