I am new to this website and I am relatively new to IChing.I started exploring this website a couple of weeks ago and it rekindled my interest in the oracle. I would very much appreciate some input on this divination!

I have some pressing questions regarding the matters of the heart and I hope someone can enlighten me on them. :bag:

Q1) Does she have romantic interest in me? Received Hexagram 12 Unchanging (Seems like a bad omen)

Q2) Should I give up on her? Received Hexagram 27.4 > 21. (Seems to suggest that I should bite through
the obstacles)

Q3) Is there any relationship potential between us? Received Hexagram 37.1 > 53 (This looks rather
optimistic)

Q4) Is there anything that I can do right now? Received Hexagram 18.1.4 > 14

The relationship is blocked. Maybe she is married and you don't know this? There is a definite disconnect here.

Hello, TKWLSY, I'll give it a try.
I lately realized, when I get 12 it means "you are wrong", when I'm upset or angry and ask stupid questions, when actually I already know the answer. Or it may literally mean blocked communication. Are you even in touch? If not, then, 27.4 makes perfect sense - get in touch . And 18 to 14 - well, 14 is something precious, and it is spoiled, neglected. 18.1 is an easy repair, but in line 4 it all has gone waay too far, continuing in this direction brings nothing but shame and disappointment.
Hope this makes sense to you, I found your casts somehow close to my personal story.

Thank you, Nata_Liv. I will share some background information about the situation. I guess most relationships share a similar vein. My ex-girlfriend and I broke up a couple of months ago. The relationship ended in less than 2 months. During our courtship, she told me to make a promise that none of us should ever mentioned about breaking up. So I was kinda surprised when she initiated the breakup. She refused to tell me the exact reason for the breakup other than saying that the feeling is different now. I tried to contact her once in a while. Initially, she did pick up my call. However, as days went by, she no longer replies my message or picks up my call. I am kinda lost what exactly went wrong. At first, she said I was very indecisive. Later, she said the problems lie in her. Currently, I am taking a big step back by giving her time and space to think things through. However, at the back of my mind, I just felt that there was no proper conclusion to our relationship because it was really out of the blue. Of course, I hope to salvage the relationship. At the very least, the friendship between us. I dropped her a message last month to tell her that even if we can't be a couple, we could at least stay as friends. No reply.

Any advice is deeply appreciated.

This line is not very encouraging. It says disaster comes to a man who treads upon the tiger's tail. Who is the tiger? The tiger must be your ex-girlfriend!

I asked: What are the probability of patching up if I let her contact me instead? I received Hexagram 20 Unchanging. I also asked: Are we meant to be together? I received Hexagram 46 Unchanging. Surprisingly, the top and bottom trigrams are the same but in different order! Speaking of the uncanny accuracy of IChing... It seems to me that IChing is asking me to do a self reflection with Hexagram 20 Unchanging. The hex code for 46 is 'sprouting'. It seems like I will need to be patient if I want to have any chance of patching up with her. Sometimes, the results are not visible.

Hexagram 46 unchanging indicates that a long-term approach will be necessary. You're right: A lot of patience will be required and nothing will be accomplished by quick jumps or sweeping gestures.

What insight is offered by Hexagram 1.4.5.6>11? I read that if there are 3 or more changing lines, we should consider the hex code of the two hexagrams.
