So I am basically in a complex situation with a girl that I really like. She's still getting over an ex that's really toxic so there's been some lag. We've hung out and spent a night together once. Then I backed off and went further.

I asked her out via text, and she just hasn't responded and its now been two days, which for her is really out of character. So I asked two questions and got the following responses.

Should I wait for J?

The interpretation that means a lot to me says:

"Changing one's mind over an issue that has consequences for someone else. Things go well by keeping to this. There will be results by engaging with the new situation."



Does this mean shes coming around but not quite there yet?

Well, this seems to be a reading with two alternatives, 61.3 or 61.5. I guess it all depends on you, and how much torture you are experiencing with the waiting. Maybe if you do something else while waiting you would feel less tense. She may have difficulties now, because she is not fully over her ex. If you can be understanding and not in any rush, you would be honoring the situation as it is, instead of how you want it to be.

It sounds to me like 61.3 is saying that you are being "tossed about" in a sense bc you see your happiness in another person and 61.5 talks about a man who holds things together with his personality. I think this means you must find your inner truth, you don't need anyone else to be happy and changing to 26 meaning strengthen your character. Know your worth and that others add to our happiness, not create it.
17.1 > 45 seems to say something like just go with the flow and understand the dynamics between you two and it will lead to gathering together

The Inner Truth is that you are in love with this woman.
I'm not sure this implies that you should therefore "wait" - maybe you should ask the I Ching what you should do - but it does suggest you should not just shrug your shoulders and walk away.

What if I continue to wait for J?
17.1 doesn't say if she will reach out to you but that most likely that while you are waiting on her you'll probably go out and talk with others, that you wont put your life entirely on hold.

Neither of these hexagrams read to me as if "waiting" is sufficient to get the response you are hoping for. How about giving her a call?
