I asked the oracle "what forces would guide me to success in a relationship with "T". I got Hexagram 23 stressed line 4 changing the hexagram to hexagram 35.

I also did another reading on a relationship with another person (I asked the same question). I got hexagram 15, 2nd line stressed changing the hexagram to hexagram 46.

Any ideas on this? Thanks.

Hi cassius clay,

Hex 23.4 says the bed is split, this affects you and your home. You shouldn't take advantage of others. Misfortune that can no longer be held at bay.
Hex 35 says you have enough wisdom not to abuse your influence on others but to use it to benefit another person. When the situation is not conducisive to moving forward, then try not to over do things. Jealousy and selfishness do indeed hinder progress, advancing. The time has come to think carefully about yourself and your position. You will be well rewarded.

Hex 15.2 says be modest in your behaviour, words and deeds, tell the person how you feel about them. To persevere is good.
Hex 46 says advance using modesty and adaptability, be unassuming. Be calm and controlled. You will need to consult with someone in authority in this matter, someone who can help you., do not be afraid, success is assured. Travel or things to the south of your home, are very good.

from a non-divinatinal position - both questions, or their format, suggests you being more reactive/passive than proactive, and focused on what could be. These give us two yin lines atop an undetermined bottom line and so the trigram of either earth or thunder dominate the generic context.

Earth covers issues of devotion to another where one can get their identity from that devotion.(it equates with a root emotion of fear and so the need to integrate with the context to hide. This is turned on its head to the positive aspects of getting into the crowd in the form of gaining social identity, working as a team)

Thunder covers issues of lack of trust in self and the solving of problems through 'aids' in the form of models, hypotheses etc. IOW something generated from INSIDE (own context) as compared to OUTSIDE (Earth, local context, adapt to). (thunder equates with the root emotion of surprise, the sudden, the new, the 'now' etc)

Thunder and Earth are variations on the same theme.

Chris.
