Look before you leap. You don't want to jump out of the pot and into a fire. Contact persons who work in places you might move to and insure that these environments are free of the drama and hostility you now experience.

There is one organization that can help me. That is what they specialize in. I emailed my request to them and the reasons why I am turning to them for help.

I asked: Will OMofD help me find a better apartment and building?

Hexagram 49 lines 1, 3, 4 and 6 changing into Hexagram 20.

I did the casting today.

Any insights? Please :)

Can someone please help me get to the bottom on this. I asked:

Will an opportunity present itself for me to move out?

49.1.3.4.6 > 20

Yes, but line 3 suggests a need for more communication -- discussion and negotiation. Among other factors, my reading is based on the association of the hide of an ox with land possession as in the the legend of Hengist and Vortigern and on the occasional interpretation of hexagram 20 as a tall building.

May I also suggest that this is a good time to visualize what you need in a living environment. Don't be timid about being very specific while focusing on essentials, remaining open to new possibilities.

But most of the time you will need to entertain and initiate the change. In cases like this, often the Universe waits for us to take the first step, even if its a step of blind faith, so long as you don't impose on others. It's not the right home or job or relation or, etc; it's the right states of mind to meet them.

Love 49 with so many potentials. Your environment has a tremendous impact on your life, wherein it is important to feel safe and connected to it for the time. That connection is not always initially apparent. Sometimes it takes awhile.

Hi Meng,

Thanks for the insight because I used to hate hexagram 49 with it's revolutionary aspects. Looked like too much work :) I never saw it as many options and yes I'm initiating the changes. I already live in a penthouse with a spectacular view but want to leave for many serious reasons which are private. I'm not on here to post personal stuff. I need some help with readings I can't make sense and need an objective perspective.

Then the 20-penthouse view is what needs changing.

I just went through a very similar sounding scenario. I've loved the house and area I lived in. However over that nine year period, everything changes. Three houses were built closely around the house. I lost the feeling of openness and freedom that I presently live for. A particularly obnoxious couple with their continually aggressive pit-bull, that they tied to their front door all day, and due to her frustration, barked, rapid fire from the time they left to when they came home. It caused personal problems between these new neighbors and myself. Their brother seemed to need to build his house almost on top of this one. I'll leave that story be and get to the point.

I'm on a limited income, have to budget strictly, which I do. I was hog-tied. I had such a great deal with that house. The owner was happy to have a responsible single guy to watch over his property, upkeep it. Together, we improved the value of the home. I was going to live happily there until I died. But it wasn't to be. That hateful vibe, which of course their dog just emulates, is stressful to live with. I started looking around. One offered rent-free if I'd watch over the house and property, however there were ongoing battles with meth head thieves breaking in and stealing his (was his fathers) stuff. It was a common stop for the sheriff. The place itself wasn't bad, though very remote. If I moved in, there would be too much 49. I love nature and the desert but there are limits. A shootout out with a truckload of speed freaks, I don't need.

So I looked at other places, each with their own up and down sides (see the 20.6 going on here?) In addition, I was fully prepared to scale down, to accept less if I could get my peace back, and maybe better than before. I seek essentials and a little more. I won't go into detail about my living conditions now, but I've cut blood pressure meds in half (chf). That should say enough about whether this new paradigm is healthier, holistically speaking.

Don't be afraid to look at other possibilities. Our job isn't to continuously be a nice person toward everyone in the world, nor to be a good neighbor to dumbshits and their frustrated dogs (whatever those barking dogs may be). There's something better. Meanwhile, keep it together (8).
