Hello Everyone!I am facing a situation where I should decide whether or not to use a facial cream Containing a synthetic substances, the cream has been proven to work very well, but it has long and short term side affects. I am a big believer in doing things in the natural way, so this is quite a big decision since the reward is very high.I queried the Oracle over a period of a few weeks with a few questions the first was:**"Should I use *synthetic drug name*"? >>>Received hexagram 20 ( Contemplation) with no lines(I was new to the IChing and didn't realize "Yes\no\Should" questions aren't as effective as "What if questions" But received nonetheless a good answers (Beginners luck?) )So I Contemplated and did more research But still couldn't decide, So I queried some more this time shifted towards the natural way:**"Should I try a natural solution instead of *synthetic drug name* ?">>>Received Hexagram 35.1.3(Chin / Aspiration) > 30 After a few Days I queried again this time realizing that "What if" questions are more effective. The question was :**"What would happen if I use *synthetic drug name* ?">>>Received Hexagram 33 (Retreat) no changing lines (similar to hexagram 20 As I understand it in this context ) Again contemplated and researched more then queried again :**"What alternative can I take for *synthetic drug name* ?">>>Received Hexagram 7 .2.3 (Shih / Recruiting Allies) >15Then a few days later queried again :**"Please shed light on what would happen if I will use *synthetic drug name*?">>>Received Hexagram 7.6 > 4 again! And lastly queried again:"Please shed light on what would happen if I make my own cream using less harmful chemical?" >>>Received Hexagram 35 again!!! TL;DR: There are 3 main repeating things going on here 1. Contemplation &Retreat (Hexagram 20 and 33)2. Hexagram 7 (which I don't really understand)3. Hexagram 35 (Chin / Aspiration)Please Help Understand what is it that the Oracle wants me to understand And what path is better here?

Hi TheShaps and welcome.
Since it sounds so important to you, I'll give it a go.

Should I use *synthetic drug name*"?
20 unchanging

Investigate further, read some reviews, don't decide before thinking further. So you acted right.

Should I try a natural solution instead of *synthetic drug name* ?
35.1.3 > 30

No this is definitely not a good solution.

What would happen if I use *synthetic drug name* ?
33 unchanging

You would abandon it eventually.

What alternative can I take for *synthetic drug name* ?
7.2.3 >15

Buy a good reliable brand which has been around for some time.
Don't choose the cheapest that there is or one tested on animals (7.3), but still aim to pay a modest price.

Please shed light on what would happen if I will use *synthetic drug name*?
7.6 > 4

It would prove to be much inferior to what you thought, and you won't want to use it.
You'll feel a bit silly if you do buy it and don't use it.

Please shed light on what would happen if I make my own cream using less harmful chemical?
35 unchanging

This is also a good solution, probably the best.

Very Interesting interpretation, I didn't thought about that, but now its sounds very likely that I would abandon it eventually. It's good to see things from a perspective you have never seen before. Thanks :)

Could you please explain this reading, I don't quit see what in the hexagram indicates that this is a bad solution, although looking from logical point of view I agree that this solution might not be as effective as the using the drug.

Yes of course.

35.1 is a first line, so it shows the beginning when you'd start using it.
In my experience it describes quite a painful and frustrating situation.
It says (loosely),
advance thus, destroy thus (so, forward movement brings damage)
being chaste/pure is lucky (perhaps meaning you're much better off not using it)
deceive confidence rich (someone deceives others to get rich?)
no error (it's not your fault though, you couldn't have known)
So all in all, at the very beginning of you using it, there's damage and deception.

35.3 says that a lot of people agree on this, consent, and 'regrets die'.
So maybe you would then read many good reviews, and think, oh, this is can't be that bad then.

Hidden line is 21.3, which speaks of poisoning.

Resulting 30 shows that you'll need to look after yourself after the damage created by the product.

Does it make more sense now?
