Is this better than my previous question?

What are the chances I'll meet a man for a long term relationship this year?

I got: Hexagram 64 line 2 changing to Hexagram 35

Hexagram 64 line 2 sounds good but is changing Line 2 giving guidance or describing my present situation? This is where I get confused and need help.

Can Hexagram 35 represent the man I'll meet? Is it guidance or an outcome?
And lastly how do I connect these 2 hexagrams as a story line to show me a picture of a future development? These are the difficulties I'm having.

Thanks Eleni:bows:

64.2> 35

64 is "Before Completion" or "Not Yet Across" so this would describe your present situation. You are not there yet, but should not give up; keep persevering .

Line 2 is dragging back, you must stop before you advance. "Favorable but testing times; Not the right time; one stops in time."

Hexagram 35 is bringing things to light, progressing in the full light of day.

I believe the I Ching is talking to you about YOUR progress toward the man you will marry. Keep going, do not give up.

Hi yes but isn't 64 my present situation where I have decided to not make any advances to find someone and that I decided to pull back my efforts? I feel the time is not right for me. So what does the relating hexagram mean that I'll meet someone new who I'll be in contact with 3 times in one day? Sounds like I'll be interested as I do not waste my time if I'm not interested.

These are the difficulties I'm having.

These are not exactly difficulties you are naming but are rather various options that one needs to hold inside one's own mind until the situation becomes clearer. In the meantime, until clarity arrives, it is best to follow the directives given by the various moving lines -- as these are what we act upon or rest upon.

Nobody knows the future and you will find that the I Ching is not a device for fortune telling. The relating hexagram usually does not give the outcome but more often gives the way we are related to our own question. It can even give the previous situation that gave rise to the question! Or it can give both simultaneously, the previous situation and the outcome. So things are not so simple that we can say it is either this or that. All the aspects must be held inside the mind and a sort of gestalt develops that is helpful, even if it confounds us at the same time. We never have to be 100% sure in order to fix the omen and act in accordance with what has been given to us to work with.

I think your reading is saying that the form of your questioning is much improved. It is saying that if you keep in mind the guidelines for asking good questions, you may go ahead and ask some good questions.

Hi Ginnie yes I get you it's happened to me often. It gives me the general atmosphere. like talking to me...hard to describe but I've had some very enlightening experiences with the I Ching..most of the time I understand what it's talking about when it happens.
