:duh:
Hi All

I have been dealing with a sub-contractor that has been a complete nightmare.
He is a friends neighbour who is suppose to be doing some work for me. He led me to believe he had the skills to complete the tasks involved but as it turns out he has been

totaly in-competent
doesnt answer his phone or email
the small amount of work he has done is in complete
he has nearly caused me to lose the job I basicaly took him off the job in the nick of time an employed somebody competent because i was being threaten with legal action.
he has caused the client no end of stress as they have their retiremnt riding on this project

I wouldnt care so much but I have payed him in advance

And i cannot see him doing anything he is asked I am at my wits end with him
I have given him chance after chance

I sent him an email today stating that I am requesting a refund

and if he does nothing after this I WILL take legal action to recover the funds.

It has been so stressful dealing with I asked the YI what will be the outcome in relation to dealing with G and recieved surprisingly 50.6>32

I see this as positive any ideas anyone, It just does not seem possible at this moment
I am hoping we can still come to an agreement

any insight would be most welcome

To me, it seems the I Ching is confirming that you're doing the right thing in demanding a refund and, if that isn't forthcoming, taking legal action.

Thus the superior man consolidates his fate
By making his position correct.

Your email stated your position in no uncertain terms.

° Nine at the top means:
The ting has rings of jade.
Great good fortune.
Nothing that would not act to further.

In the preceding line the carrying rings are described as golden, to denote their
strength; here they are said to be of jade. Jade is notable for its combination of
hardness with soft luster.

Your email combined hardness (threat of a lawsuit) with soft luster (the opportunity to work this out amicably)

Good luck on all this; obviously very frustrating

Thankyou both for replies I hvent yet threatened legal action I have just demanded a refund
but I can see what you mean he must be geting the feeling I at my wits end eg 50.6

Does anybody have Idea's as I asked what "would be the outcome to this situation"
Not sure how to see this line in this context, although it appears favaourable but I am so frustrated with this guy its unbelieveable.

Interestingly, I come to the opposite conclusion to Ginnie2. Since the caldron is an eating pot, i would read it as meaning you will eat -- I.E. get your money back.

But in my personal experience, the i Ching doesn't always answer the question i asked but a different question which may be more important. For example, rather than telling you what the outcome will be, it might be suggesting ways to get the best outcome. Perhaps ask it further questions in order to clear that up.

The Outcome of Dealing with G

It has been so stressful dealing with I asked the YI what will be the outcome in relation to dealing with G and recieved surprisingly 50.6>32
Well it is true that you did not ask if you will recover the money, but Yi is telling you that you should continue persevering and standing firm. That is clear. And it is also telling you that your business has jade handles and that there is great good fortune.

"Nothing that does not bring harvest" shows you that even adversity can be transformed within this vessel of a business. It does not guarantee that you will get this money back, but it does show that your enterprise will continue and thrive, regardless of the outcome with G.

i see your reading as indicating that making these threats will bring the outcome you desire, you get a handle on the situation. if i had this reading i would go ahead and threaten legal action (if you don't get the refund shortly) After all he has your money, in effect stolen it if he isn't going to provide the service. Its a clear case of him being in the wrong, he must know that. In short i see your answer like Bostonian did, showing your approach to this enables a satisfactory outcome
