Hi Freedda,

Yes, what you read in the history of Buddhism shows that. Perhaps the "reason" that led Gautama Buddha to China was also the openness in thought and attitude of the Chinese people where everything is an expression of the Tao . It was a fertile ground for what he set out to do.

What I "look for" here is to perceive the intention behind each ritual and how this ritual is a concentrated expression of the "Religion" behind it. And then how my relationship with Yijing can change with that "extra".

For example, here in "The Great God of the Five Paths" how do the characteristics of these "five paths" incorporate something related to wuxing, a subject so dear to yijing?
