Romance -39 to 63

Hello Fellow Seekers,

I haven't had anything steady with a guy for ages now. Just a couple of guys who sailed through - a guy from Amsterdam who visited me and we just fell apart (I had spent a week with him in end 2004 in Amsterdam). But I adore the one I met on Valentine's day, last month. He says he might be here next month as he lives in Bombay. Hea sks if I will go over, but I don't think I will. We got along famously though on all counts. However, for some reason he doesn't really keep in touch. He's a novelist like me and a sitar player in love with India. Has Antonio Banderas looks. And there's another guy supposed to visit me from england next month - who is buying my paintings for an art gallery he is planning (has already sent me some advance, but his computer crashed and so he's been offline for a while). He is extremely romantically inclined towards me - although I am not.

Well, I asked at some point of time about a possible future romance with both of them - and got 63 line 1 changing to 39. And in the second instance about the English guy - I drew 39 line 1 changing to 63! I think the Yi is telling me things are looking up, but be patient. Any suggestions?

Hex 63.1 do not try and make any move here because it only leads to failure, wait until you know the full situation and all that it entails, otherwise you will cause yourself problems.

Hex 39 you are facing obstruction, failure, so time to learn something about this situation, so stop with this guy for the moment.

Hex 39.1 there is a problem here and you must think how to deal with it, so do not try and push ahead as this leads to trouble but retreat and see what happens.

Hex 63 well, everything here proceeds okay, things, I would presume you business deal has been succesfully accomplished but in time decay and misfortune set in, so now is the time to prepare for future problems. If you are thinking about romantic relationship with him then I think this is warning you that trouble will surface later on down the road.

Thanks Willowfox! I do believe though that because there's a single line moving, you look at the same line in the resultant hexagram. That makes the prediction not so bad after all - 63 - disorder in the end-. What do you think? Anyone else on this?

You only look at the moving line that you received, to look at lines that you did not receive would make the answer illogical and wrong.

It is only your opinion that it is illogical and wrong. Many people look at the fan yao which is the corresponding line in the relating hexagram for further insight into the changing line in the primary hexagram.

Yes, you are quite right but I find the whole concept of the fan yao idea to be illogical and wrong. I suppose that you could invent something new everytime an answer does not fit the question exactly.

well, the only way to tell whether the fan yao works is check how the answer plays out - whether it is as I think, just a matter of timing (the romance) or whether there's romance followed by disorder! I'll keep you posted.

Your answers (39 > 63 and 63 > 39) both suggest that the potential romances you are asking about will not work out and that was arrived at without any fan yaos.

Well Willowfox,

I have this book - Guy Damian Knight whose 63.1 speaks of how things are looking up and not to get over-excited about the new time dawning. And 39.1 says there is an obstruction - don't fight it. Wait till you can proceed. Which is why I sauid what I said. But you well may be right! I'll know for sure in a couple of months at most. The Englishman I haven't met yet but he's to come here next month to pick up the painting I'm doinf for him and see me of course. The sitar player might pop up too. Will just have to wait and see, but frankly I do not expect any affair to work out. It would take a lot for me to pledge myself to any man - considering that my spiritual path is most important to me.
