Romantic Desert, Hexagram 57 (Sun), no changing lines

I've not been in a romantic relationship since 2015. I feel like I'm in a desert. I've even been on a lot of dating apps, and so many dead ends. I've gone on some first dates without any connection. I've not met anyone at any of my jobs or in any activities. It seems that the Universe is conspiring against me. True, I've learned more about myself and what I want in life.

So I consult the iconic I-Ching, asking what I could do to get out of this "desert" and find an oasis, so to speak, and just get Hexagram 57 (Sun), without any changing lines.

What does it mean to see the great man that one gets in these readings sometimes? I will tell you all that I'm open to a romantic relationship with either sex , so does the "great man" have anything to do with that, given I'm a male?

Oh, yes, I did actually ask if there is something I could do to find an "oasis" out of this romantic desert, which led me to get this hexagram 57 (sun) with no changing lines. Secondly, what does it mean to see the great man? Given that I'm a man who could see myself in a relationship with either sex if it was the "right" person, I wonder if the "great man" has any bearing? Thank you.

I don't think the great man has necessarily a literal sense, though it's possible.
57 shows a slow process where you penetrate into a situation little by little.

- Have sex with someone (57 penetration, and 'small gains').
- Make a move (profitable to get going).
- Meet a large (or older) person (not specified if man or woman), or a professional.
- See a therapist (The Image: explain fate to a professional).
- Do nothing, continue as inactive as you are.
- Obey, submit to fate.

Thank you for your insights.....this one could be a lot of things...I think I should be open and cautious, but it seems like every person I meet is a closed door for one reason or another. I'm not afraid to take a risk, but right now, I don't see anything viable.

Though if you make enough "small gains," couldn't the scales of fate actually fill up and tip to what I want? I know having a relationship isn't the all and end all of life, as one can live without one, but it would be nice, but as I get more insightful and evolved, not just anyone is going to do either!

What I mean is that by "small gains," if I just keep growing as a person, time will just lead me to whoever when the time is right, maybe? As we evolve, it's "small gains," so we just keep slowly creeping to the next adventures of our lives?

I personally don't believe that if we grow as a person we'll get a good partner later. One doesn't necessarily equal the other.

Still, evolving and learning are crucial, if for nothing else at least to feel better in our own skin, and to protect ourselves from the wrong people.

I've heard this saying; Instead of looking for the right person, BE THE RIGHT PERSON. Well that comes from small gains daily in your life.
