Can the forum display the whole profile image? Hilary looks like she is peeking through a hole, and only part of my license plate number shows. (I realize that the world has more important problems than this.)

True - it's all very stylish, but a bit like taking a photo down a loo roll. I have started an 'is there a way to do this?' thread at XF and will add to it.

If we were to get really crazy... round/square option? 😈

(For all I know, that would end up looking cluttered/terrible.)

Hopefully there will be an answer to this. My dove's peace offering has gone down the loo roll. If I could just scootch the picture over to the left a bit...

My Father Christmas fell out of the sky with no propellor on his plane and no reindeer in sight. Like you Iams girl I was unable to reposition even though the arrow head thing was floating over the top. So I have decided to try a new one. This may change again in the near future as I am undecided as to it's suitability.

OK... now you have rounded-corner square avatars. Any better? (You can have anything between circular and square, but the avatars can't be enlarged overall.)

I was able to reposition mine a tiny little bit, but very little - it could certainly do with more "scootch."

Iams, if yours is pretty close to being workable, I wonder if you could edit it in Paint? Remove part of the left edge or something? (Of course as with most such things this has potential for turning into a trial-and-error nightmare, urgh.)

(the corners could be less rounded if you prefer, to make it closer to a square)

I'm not sure tweaking the degree of rounded-ness is the cure-all... it might just be that avatars which were optimized for vBulletin won't work as well here. For instance, I can't honestly say yours looks any better now than when it was round (sorry). It's not the corners that are the problem, it's the dimensions (in the particular case of yours). Sadly, it might be that people either will have to edit their images, or start from scratch.

Ooh, I like the rounded corners!

Unless realigning can be made more flexible, I think you're right, Liselle, that it will be best to work with it in paint. Easy enough and seems a bit more room to do that now.
