Someone I know has been the victim of some strange rumors. I asked what he needs to do about it and I got 55.4 to 36. This is about taking covert action isn't it? It's saying that he should go undercover and investigate, find the source of these rumors, find the 'hidden leader'. Right? Seems like a clear answer.

Or it could mean that your friend has caught the attention (in a negative way) of the people making rumors , perhaps unconsciously or accidentally giving them a bad impression. If that's the case, I'd wonder if Yi was saying for the person to check that out within himself and to be guarded and modest in his behavior so there is no more cause for this. The hidden leader could be some attitude or problem in the person.

If the behavior in question is an anomaly, the gossip will die down from lack of support.

36 is part of the picture only insofar as 'hiding your light' is built into the meaning of 55.4. 55.4 talks about an unusual set of conditions enabling you to sees what’s rarely seen, and encountering hidden guidance, all of which is fortunate.

Given the question and the information you've provided, my take on it is that this could well be the Yi talking to *you* about *you*, and not your friend - you're seeing something you don't often see (your friend's situation) and you're coming here for insight or guidance, all of which is fortunate. Anyway, that's a better fit than anything I can think of regarding your friend based on the information you've provided.

Unless, of course, the friend you mention is seeing something in this situation not often witnessed, and is encountering a source of guidance and authority somewhere in the situation. (Might this source of guidance and authority be you?)

Hex 55.4 he must think carefully and clearly and also listen to your advise, is the rumor problem worth worrying about, I don't think so better to ignore it and go on to something more rewarding.

He 36 better to stop and forget about small minded people spreading rumors, lies and discord. He knows the truth of the situation, so let him act normally and show no sign that he is annoyed or upset, so let it pass.
