Democratic Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg just got hospitalized for a possible infection. A terrifying prospect for all good Americans, because if she died, she would likely be promptly replaced on the Court by a conservative Republican.

What are her prospects? (Blofeld tr.)
26.1.3 The Great Nourisher > 4 Immaturity
"The Great Nourisher favors righteous persistence. Good fortune results from not eating at home. It is a favorable time for crossing the great river (sea). [I.e. going on a long journey, perhaps abroad.]"
"This hexagram symbolizes the sky visible amidst the mountain peaks. The Superior Man, acting from his profound knowledge of the words and conduct of the wise men of old, nourishes his virtue."
.1: "Trouble threatens -- it would be wise to bring activities to a halt.
.3: "A fine steed galloping. Persistence under difficulties will win advantage. It is best to be occupied all day long with defensive measures. It is favorable to have a goal (or destination) in view.

RBG is a physical and emotional specimen of the highest caliber -- indeed, a 'fine steed galloping.' She has survived several incidents of cancer and other injuries in the past.

In this position of ignorance and uncertainty (4), she needs to take care of herself (26). She needs to stop exerting herself (.1) and focus all her efforts on top-notch medical care and recuperation (defensive measures) (.3). If she does so with persistence, she will win advantage (health). Her goal is clearly to stay on the Court until a Democrat is in the White House!

She has already entered the hospital and has a history of taking very good care of her health.

So I view this as a favorable prospect for her in the end. It will be a difficult fight, but she will be victorious.

I hope you're right.

26.1
There is danger. Fruitful to stop it.

The infection and the importance of not ignoring it.

26.3.
A fine horse for pursuit.
Constancy in hardship bears fruit.
Daily training, chariot driving, protecting.
Fruitful to have a direction to go.

She has a strong body.
An intention to keep on fighting the illness pays off.
Following doctors orders and doing what she needs to do each day.
Good to have a goal (like living long enough to see the next president elected).

I've found 4uc to be a new situation no one has any experience with.

Altogether I see this as saying her prospects are good but with 4uc as the 2nd hexagram I think we're being told no one knows the final outcome.

What are Ruth Bader Ginsburg's prospects after her infection?
26.1.3 > 4

4 as context. "Blofeld: Immaturity. Good fortune! I am not one to seek out uncultivated youths, but if such a youth seeks me out, I shall at first read and explain the omens. Yet should he ask me many times, just because of his importunity, I shall not explain anything more. The omen indicates a need for proper direction."
- Perhaps this narrative describes, as context, the position of a Supreme Court Judge.

26.1 - All the translations of this line are in accord, there is danger at hand and you need to stop.
Help yourself and stop what you are doing.

26.3 - Legge pretty much sums up all the other translations: "The third line, dynamic, shows its subject urging his way with good horses. It will be advantageous for him to realize the difficulty of his course, and to be firm and correct, exercising himself daily in his charioteering and methods of defense. Then there will be advantage in whatever direction he may advance."

Sounds likes in 16.1 she needs to take a break/stop - which she is, she's in the hospital because of the danger.
And it sounds to me like maybe in 26.3 she will need a period of therapy to recover form her illness. Horses being her strong team of helpers, daily exercise in defense of her health.
Does not sound like she will have to retire necessarily, but it sounds like this illness is not trivial and she is facing some difficulty in the near future.

Will Justice Ginsberg survive through the election?
36.1 > 15.
HAH!
This is the same reading the Yi gave Fanofenka for "What is Tucker Carlson up to?"
Lol... Has it not been said, that we have more in common that unites us than divides us?
I think they are both going to be ok.

It turns out Ginsberg does have a recurrence of her cancer, and will require a course of chemotherapy treatment.
