Hi everyone,
I'm currently searching for a job.. I have been applying to multiple places. I'm a full time student, working part time, and looking for another part time job. I have gotten a couple bad news regarding the job search already. I am waiting to hear from other places. I asked I Ching if I will get the job: 14.2 to 30.
Thank you,
Flaxs

Hi Steve,
Just a little update, I was called for an interview next Wednesday. I will come back to update on whether or not I will be getting the job.

Hi Flaxs. Are you going to get a job? I am going to go out on a limb and say -- without the I Ching -- that yes, assuming you are intellegent and not overreaching in your you goal -- you will find a job!

And now on to the reading ... another name I've heard for 14 is 'great assets.' I think it speaks to knowing your strengths, your skills and presenting them in the most favorable way, and not either overselling or selling yourself short.

For 30 Clarity, the image is that of catching a bright shinning bird, a job perhaps? I think it also speaks to acting on opportunities that present themselves, and -- as people said during the Civil Rights era, of 'keeping your eye on the prize.' I think it might also speak to how you face the job search challenge -- of being able to rely on your inner 'assets' to keep positive and not get dismayed when things don't go well.

What also comes to mind is the idea of being prepared for those opportunities--with that preparation being the 'net' with which you catch the shinning bird. For example, how much at ease are you with job interviews? And does the idea of practicing or role playing an interview with a friend seem helpful?

As an aside, one question that often threw me was when they asked me about some skill I didn't have or a task i had never done. It took a while, but eventually I could address that by speaking to my ability to learn new skills and I would give examples of when i had done that (getting away from I Ching land a bit, I guess).

Anyways, my two cents. Hope some of it is useful. Regards, David.
