Will I get a second-round interview with X company?

Hexagram 29.5 to Hexagram 7.

29 sounds negative "there is no blame"? I don't understand. Says the way out of danger is the path of least resistance, so I must stop trying to make something happen? Then hecagram 7 is army so I must be persistent and follow-up with thank you letters which I've already done.

Hey Jp,

Here is wikiwings take on this line.

The chasm not overflowing,
Here it is already peaceful/ Earth gods already have enough.
No mistake.'

‘Overflowing’ also means ‘over-full’ as in too full of yourself, arrogant.
‘Here’ also means ‘earth gods’
‘Already’ also means ‘satiated’ (person facing away from food pot)
‘Peaceful’ also means ‘level’, finding its level.

So there are two sets of imagery: the pit that is just full, not overflowing, its surface quiet and reflecting, and the gods who have received enough in offering. You don’t need to pour any more out in offering. (No mistake – ‘no, really, you don’t.’)

You’ve done enough – you can pause here – things can be still, at least for a moment. You don’t need to keep pouring in more and more of yourself; there are limits to the commitment that’s asked from you.

29 zhi Hexagram 7, Repeating Chasm’s Army. Mustering the army is compared to the way the earth gathers water in 7’s Image. Pouring offerings into the earth could be an offering for the army, before marching out. (It could help to have the army’s mindset: not offerings for their own sake, but so that something can be done.) Maybe you’ve made enough offerings and now the army can move, or the water’s filled the pit and soon it will naturally be able to flow onward.

I think its saying that youve done all you can at this point, dont send anymore tahnk you letters. It seems to me that now this is a waiting game. I get a feeling that this state will change pretty soon, whether you get the job or not, theres nothing more you can do.
