Much attention has been paid to the direction
North and the Pace of Yu. Its time we faced the South and did the
same. After all it is the direction a diviner faces, only the Son of
Heaven may also do so. Feng shui gardens always draw the southern
energy into the garden. I think we have lost the female deity
associated with this direction.
I know Lise and others have written
of glyphs that incorporate the crane (symbol of Lao Tzu, hexagram 30
(the hexagram of the south and the crane is one of the symbols of
immortality and the path to it)The crane has been incorporated with
the eye-the eye being another symbol of this deity. But I think she
is not Quan Yin, not originally and not the Queen Mother of the
Western Mountain, whom I believe to have been the consort of the first
Shang King Tang and her lineage, if such exists.
Recommmended reading: Hexagram 30 in WB and where Li appears as a
trigram in the other female hexagrams. especially in Tui in Book III,
the Commentaries.

have guesstimated she might be related to White Tara who has the third
eye-the mystical all-seeing eye but more is there. Sacred mountains of the south would be very valuable. but don't limit yourself to my recommendations: Karcher fans, Richmond admirers, etc also welcome

Commentary says that this plane of exitence begins in Kun with a flash
of blue light from the Eldest Son and Li then rises up illuminating
it. "Rises Up" is the key word here . What is due south of CHina?

the book at least 6 times. Its like being lectured by an Oxford don. (Hilary must be familiar with being lectured!!!
